Great quality however very small space between pit
I like this hook, great quality. However, I am utilizing a 10k tow rope and it was super hard to get it to fit on the hook. I had to use a stationary vice and beat it in with a hammer. It barley fits.

High Quality
This is very well made, but it was too large for my application. I sent it back with no hassle and ordered the 3/8" version instead, which is a perfect fit. Thank you, Amazon.

I received this product and it’s missing parts and for the price I wouldn’t buy it again

Wrong pin size description
The media could not be loaded. Safety hook itself is very sturdy, high quality castings expected from Curt. Amazon has the wrong pin size listed which is the reason I purchased these. I needed the larger hook size to fit my 2017 Dodge ram 2500 factory gooseneck hitch safety chain connection mounts but I needed the pin to fit a G70 3/8” chain. The correct pin size for this item is 0.650/0.651”. NOT 1/2”. I used a die grinder to slightly enlarge the chain link to accept the 21/32” pin that comes with this safety hook.

Picture doesn't depict actual product shipped
The picture shows a model that is slimmer around the hook than what is shipped. Other vendors show Chinese made model that is more representative of the actual product.

Not as described. Pin is 5/8 inch.
The pin is 5/8" diameter not the 1/2" as shown. The hook also looks different but the part number is correct.
