DAB Aerial for the Orininal Pure Highway Car Radio - Mag Mount - 4m cable. DAB radio is a great addition to in-car entertainment. Clear, digital radio stations with CD quality sound. The aerials supplied with DAB in-car radios are often an internal, glass mount type; a 'get you going' option. To improve reception, the aerial is best placed outside the vehicle; as high up and vertical as possible. The signals are then not blocked by the vehicles metal panels. This aerial provides a simple and easy to fit solution. The magnetic base avoids drilling a new hole or removal of the AM/FM aerial. PLEASE NOTE THIS PRODUCT IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE ORIGINAL PURE HIGHWAY ONLY.

It works just ok & is discreet at a good price....only good in stronger reception areas
Well tested on path front of house, it picked up stations may not be all available. Yes it's small but who need a whip aerial!. Magnet is ok see how it goes see no reason to worry, the quality is good and I like small discreet nature. These guys sell a bigger version which will be better but I missed it, so check that out but I am happy with little one so far, and good price. I also tried the stick2 inside no better or worse oddly. So if you have an original pure highway these guys have the solution at a good price.Well Road test update internal stick2 v this external....well after correctly fitting the internal antenna it worked ok on outward journey dropped out a bit but not bad. On return put external aerial on roof, surprised not much better!, had part of cable bunched so maybe that not helped but really surprise not better for the effort. I think liverpool and west lancs must be a poor signal area. Bigger one may be better then. Decided to send back but nice seller sent me the bigger version, not massive but has coiled section. Wow what a difference it made, lots more stations and massive improved signals, north liverpool must be weak area which why smaller one not so good. So if you are in a big city centre the small one may be ok but this longer one much better else where but nice company to deal with, quality products.Noticed the comments on rain, to be fair it is not the aerial at fault but atmospheric issues, so if in poorer signal area and it rains heavy signals will reduce...not a product fault!.

Amazon recommended this to me
As noted in some other reviews, Amazon recommended this to me, when I purchased a PURE DAB stereo head unit, noting it was "frequently bought together". But...the fitting was completely different and not compatible with the PURE Highway stereo that I purchased. I had meant to return the item for a refund, but it's a hassle doing so and that was months ago. Lesson learned... Do NOT rely on Amazon recommendations about items "frequently bought together". Anyway, regardless of the compatibility issues, the magnet is not powerful enough and this is a very small, flimsy looking aerial. I'm not sure it would have been usable, even if its connector had fitted. Do your own research, buy the right product and only pay once!

Not as good as the original Pure magmount
I have a journey where Plant Rock used to be intermittent for about 10% of that journey with the Pure Magmount which broke after many years of service. With this one it works less than 50% of that journey. The BBC multiplex comes through fine but there are a number of other less common stations on DAB and the point is that they ought to work. Someone has commented that there is a design flaw in the length of the antenna as the length needs to be a function of the wavelength of the received signal. This is shorter than the Pure one so it looks like that assessment is correct.

Simple yet effective
This is for the Pure highway, the one with the aerial jack socket. The external aerial gives a much better signal quality than the screen mounted one. For me living in the countryside it's improved the quality of signal. The 4m length is just enough to feed it from the back of the roof through the boot and into the front. I have a hatch back small car. Longer cars would have to feed it through the door.

Poor reception using addon DAB aerial
Reception no better than the original Pure stick on aerial, which after the changes to the DAB transmissions a couple of years ago performed poorly, really disappointed as I purchased the hi-gain version a couple of years ago which worked great but it came off at speed. I didn't realise the return window expired on 14/7/18 or I would have returned it by then. I did email the manufacturer direct with a technical question on 6/7/18 but haven't received a reply. Cannot recommend this product.

Great antenna
Fantastic addition for the DAB radio. I have used the window antenna for so long with the annoying cutting out of the signal. Now with this all stations are strong (99 signal) and never cut out

It's not that good.
Aerial isn't as good as the genuine one (which I lost). The signal is marginally better than the stick on windscreen aerial. The magnet is hopeless and I frequently find the aerial dangling at the side of my van.
