Great little basket ball net for my min macaw as its adjustable but...
My Hahn's Macaw after a few weeks of clicker training, has figured out that putting the ball in the basket is so much fun, she's like a pez machine. The positives of this bird toy are 1) the size 2) the adjustability of the height of the net. I would change the following if I designed this toy: 1) the ball is tough to hold for my mini macaw so I have substituted a smaller ball with easier ability for her to hold in her hooked beak 2) the baketball hoop and stand will fall down on top of my macaw at times frightening her, it needs a counterweight on its base. But all in all she is a budding BBA start thats Bird Basketball Associtation.... she can dunk it and one talon it... she does get distracted at times and finds chewing on the net and hoop more fun than a swoosh....

Warning. The back of the goal is "lightly" glued on to a metal tube to allow the basket to be adjusted to the proper height. Broke within 3 minutes of use. Hubby applied a more substantial glue and we are now enjoying. Just expected a little more for the price.

I really enjoy this item. It came in pristine condition, and I had absolutely no issues with it. A lot of people have written reviews complaining about how their parrots are able to break this toy. The toy is made from wood, and birds love to chew, so yes the toy will get broken, but that just means there might be another "trick" or "learning" opportunity for you and your parrot. I think this toy is well worth the money, and I can't wait for my caique to master this trick.

Conure tested and approved
Fun training toy for our Gold-capped conure. It has similarities to a previous trick we'd taught him - putting small wooden balls into a white dish - so training him on this one was a matter of combining both tricks then removing the props to the other trick bit by bit till he was doing the basketball all by itself. I haven't had any problems with the stand tipping over, but then again, our small bird can't hold the ball in his claw and hasn't gotten interested in chewing the net, so I haven't had any related problems.

Needs industrial strength/crazy glue
I bought two of these things and both came with the stand separated from the backboard. Doesn't currently say in the description that this is a "some assembly required" type item. Be aware this this hunk of wood and plastic requires crazy glue to be functional. Not worth the price, do not recommend it.

Two Stars
Adorable but for $24. it should be able to handle standing on my desk without falling apart.

The back boards fell off in transit and the slightest touch will make them continually drop.
