Shed Security Locking Bar
E**T
Excellent quality throughout
Earlier this year I woke to find person(s) of questionable character and morality (also known as thieving s***s) had broken into the outhouse. by forcing the locked bolt on the door. While there was nothing of great value there, the next door neighbour lost a couple of bikes from his next to ours. So, how do you minimise the risk of repeat?Fit one of these bars and a good padlock! If you secure it properly it will require a seriously determined s*** to get past it.So what do you get?A heavy and very well made (no rough edges, or poor quality finishing here) length of steel bar (in my case 1 metre), 2 wall brackets for the bar to pass through and 4 coach bolts with washers, nuts etc.Now I did not use the coach bolts as mine was going to be secured to stone so I purchased some security ground anchor bolts separately. You will need an appropriate drill bit for the material you are going to be fixing it into (wood or masonry, they require different bits!).I think the coach bolts need a 10mm hole but I did not use them. The coach bolts are secure as you tighten them from the back and you use them where you drill through the surface rather than into (like the frame of a shed for example), The outer surface is a dome with no means to undo.I used security anchors as I was securing to stone and these are bolts with a sleeve that expands as you tighten them. Once in they are not going anywhere. They use an Allen key to tighten (I used a ratchet spanner and attachment to tighten properly) and then you simply hammer in a ball bearing to stop anyone undoing them again. The bar passes through the brackets and has a hole for a padlock to stop it being removed.Use the right padlock and you are about as secure as you can get!For the price these are outstanding and fully deserving of the other positive reviews.I should also add delivery was swift and tracking information supplied. This is a company I will be using again. If you want to improve security on your shed, outhouse or anything else with a door you should buy this!

A solid security product - easy to install
This bar is made of solid Sheffield steel and, along with the two hasps supplied, fits quickly and neatly across the middle of my high garden gate to secure it. The gate is only secured by a latch and there have been instances recently of 'prowlers' entering rear gardens and breaking into sheds / garages.Once slid quickly into place in the evening, this bar prevents my gate from being opened from the outside. It's high quality and I'm very pleased with it.

Strong with a good visual deterrent
Well made and strong. Good visual deterrent. Easy to fit. I hope I don’t get to test it, with regards to someone trying to break into my shed but I feel this would put up a good fight. Just to note opening your shed is going to take a little more effort and the bar might be heavy for elderly. But security is what matters

Good item
Sturdy, very thoroughly galvanised and with a sensible fixing kit that includes decent washers.

Heavy duty shed bar for additional security that hides the five lever deadlock behind the bar.
Ultra heavy duty shed bar to give additional security in that the bar actually hides my five lever deadlock and I used 10mm carriage bolts instead of the usual 8mm and used an 8mm file to accommodate the larger opening (10min to enlarge the square holes to suit the larger bolts) installation a breeze and a good deterrent to would be thieves.

Needs more space to accept larger padlock
A good solid solution to secure outbuildings my only gripe is the space between the bar and the fixtures is very close so only smaller gauge padlocks can fit into the locking space
