Chilton's Manuals are the best
As always this the best home maintainence manual that a shade-tree could find. Every step is correct and explicit. They make no assumptions that the reader has performed these task before or that they are a mechanic by train. Could not ask for anything better

Although the book had some basic information that would apply to any car, I found the detail and photos very helpful. The authors skipped air conditioning repair but many backyard mechanics should avoid that work anyway.

Dated info and pictures. Just reprints. You can get better info on YouTube. Had zero information on cosmetic work such as weather stripping replacement. This is just basic auto mechanics for old school mechanics . No help for novices

Contains good information but....
The B&W photos are grainy and it's difficult to make out the details. Color photos would have been a plus. The illustrations are small and difficult to read. Larger illustrations would be helpful.
