Very happy with this Roundup replacement.
I use a lot of Round-Up every spring, clearing all the weeds in our front yard (lots of trees and boulders/rocks, etc) in the areas where weed whacking doesn't really work. So until this year, I always bought RoundUp Super Concentrate and mix it in a 2 gal sprayer. It always works like a charm. Takes about a week to kill everything off. But that stuff is expensive!!. A gallon is about $100... So I started looking for an exact replacement.. Well, for anyone interested, this is it! 2.5 Gal for $68 !! Same main ingredient and surfactant. It worked like a charm for me, working exactly the way RoundUp did, and just as fast/slow and just as thorough, except it's a bit lighter on the wallet..

Roundup's pattent expired!!!
To most it is not new news that "Round Up's" pattent expired but to everyone else please listen up. Next time you are at the Herbiside (weed killer) isle pick up a bottle of "Round Up" and then a similar (concentrate for concentrate or "ready to spray for ready to spray) bottle of the generic ("Sprectricide", "Eliminator", ect.) and compare the active ingrident. What you are looking for is Glyphosate isopropylamine salt, key word "Glyphosate". Notice anything? Yep, same stuff and same amount, around 41% for concentrate. Now look at the price... That is correct, about twice as much for "Round Up". It is like comparing apples to apples with the difference being one apple came off one tree and the other off the next tree. In closing, read the active ingredent and if you plan on spraying weeds more than once in your life then keep that "Round Up" pump sprayer or buy a inexpensive pump sprayer ($20 or so) and pick up a generic bottle of concentrate. The mixing is not a "hassle", usually i mix 2.5 to 3 oz per gallon and you will NOT be impresed by the results since it works the same as you are used to but, you will kick your self over all the money you wasted on the name brand version.

Don't Be Impatient. Good Things Come To Those Who Wait
I live in Southwest Florida where invasive Brazilian Pepper trees are a real nuisance. Whenever they fruit, the seeds drop and germinate and are often eaten by birds who distribute them around very effectively. The problem is how to kill these trees without damaging native growth. I used to use ROUNDUP but this product is about half the cost. There are two ways to do this effectively. One is to spray this product on the foliage of the smaller pepper bushes. It will take about two weeks but you'll notice a change in the leaves in about a week. For the larger trees--and they do get large if allowed to-- I cut the trunk with a saw leaving about one foot of it above ground. Then I use a paint brush to apply the undiluted chemical to the fresh cut. Voila! No more pepper tree. This is labor intensive when you get started, but once you get rid of the mature trees you will have less seeds to deal with each year and will be able to keep up with the random growth. This product is cost-effective and works well.

I need to do some more research or wear super protective clothing from head to toe before I try ...
Since I moved to our new home a 1.5 years ago, I've had to start buying chemicals in bulk. I found Round Up worked really well, but it's expensive when you have a full acre lot. I started researching on what made Round Up work and got to this product. It's a little pricey, but you only have to use a few ounces per gallon. I mixed about 10 ounces with 3.5 gallons of water in a commercial quality backpack style sprayer and went to work on weeds that were anywhere from tiny golf-sized plants to 4 foot tall plants that needed to go. I applied it on a Saturday at the hottest part of the day, which was 1:30 pm. I got some of the product overspray on my feet and arms, but I wore a painters mask to cover my mouth and nose.Fast forward 9-10 days and every plant that was sprayed has turned brown and dead. EVERY plant! This stuff works incredibly well. Here's a word of caution. After spraying on Saturday, I had runny nose and dripping fluids from both nostrils for 3 days. I don't have allergies and I'm sure this product made me sick. Then I see 60 minutes where they said this product is banned in Europe and is most likely carcinogenic. Scary!!! I wanted to go to the garage and throw out the bottle, but it works too well. I need to do some more research or wear super protective clothing from head to toe before I try using this again. I noticed that commercial landscape staff wear booties and cover themselves all over when they use their commercial sprayer. Take precautions, but know that this product works miracles as far as killing weeds, but it may be doing more damage than just to weeds.

works
I got this for my property up north to spray around things to keep the weeds down. MY dad used it and didn't like it. Thought it didn't work. So, I used it and had to show him that it does in fact work and works very good. I guess for him it didn't show right away, for me, I didn't care if it took a few days to work because when it did, bye to the weeds. Would order more again.

Works great..
Works great...YOu can make different strength mixes from 1-6% solutions. I made mine 5% for simple weeds and it was just fine. MUCH better deal than buying ROUNDUP in concentrate or premixed....Buy this...works great...Apply a small amount of dish soap in the spray container and mix it with the poison and water...will allow the solution to adhere better to the plant leaves!!

Works well.
This product is far cheaper than the popular brand and the quantity will last you a while unless you are using a large sprayer. I have found that it works just as well as the Roundup Pro we use at the golf course. Make sure to use the correct ratio. I use a blue dye with mine so I know where I have sprayed. Follow instructions in order to achieve desired results. This is a good product.
