Great
I have been collecting records for decades and didn't really know the stock sleeves had much value ,until now. This is a great book, has lots of good pictures, easy to follow, and good pricing range. Now I'm going through all my sleeves and see if I have any of value.

Interesting but a little short
You don't get a preview of some pages so you don't know if this works for you or not. While very comprehensive it does come up short showing all of a company's sleeves. This book is nearly 10 years old and the author will invite suggestions from readers for a volume 2. It's way over due.

This book is very helpful. Because I have many of the company sleeves listed in this book.

Company Sleeve market value skyrocketing!
Why is Del-Fi omitted? I can't understand why every serious book about 45s includes only the 50s and 60s. People interested only in that era (other than sellers) have to be over sixty, which I think would minimize the market for such a book. I find it useful to narrow down the era of a label to match with its sleeve, but why not extend through the 0s as well. Most of the 80s 45s came in a picture sleeve, so company sleeves in that decade were minimal. If you've noticed, the number and cost of company sleeves recently have skyrocketed, with many common sleeves going for $8 to $20 dollars. Saw a "Strand" sleeve this morning going for $90! This book is probably of more value to dealers than to collectors (only than anal ones -- like me!

A Good Beginning
I have been collecting 45 RPM records since I was a child. For several decades I have amassed a large collection of company sleeves, cherishing them as essential to the history of the releases themselves. The several thousand 45s I still retain are almost all in company sleeves if issued in same.In purchasing Mr. Scott's guide, I was unaware that it only covered the time period from 1950 to 1969 (oddly omitting 1949 when the 45 RPM record was released in the U.S. for the first time, however, making up for this with a 1949 image of an RCA sleeve). Mr. Scott credits 45 Sleeves.com with a special acknowledgment and encourages readers to visit and use it as a resource. I was a major contributor to that website, which with the passing of it's founder, has since come off the internet and so is no longer in use.The text itself is minimal. It is surprising then that it has so many spelling errors. For example, the author references a perhaps future edition but spells edition as "addition".I am no fan of price guides as they seem to go out of date the moment they are published. As a collector, I know I will pay much more than a listed price guide indicates if I really want a sleeve; and conversely have purchased most in my collection for around $1 or less.Still, the volume is what it says it is. The numerous pictures are clear and of a size to represent them very well. I found over 30 images of sleeves I do not possess, and so having them in this format is nice. I do take issue with the fact the the "color" images of Brunswick sleeves from the mid-60's are black and white and do not show the blue print they were issued in. It's also surprising that the Buddah sleeve shown for that label does not include the more common orange version (which shows up later in the book for subsidiary label - Curtom; which is correct but does not explain why it is not included as an original Buddah label sleeve). Most curious to me was the omission of the 3 new Capitol logo sleeves introduced in 1969 (well known as the target sleeves given their circular design that was continued on the 45 label itself to make a very colorful rainbow target image). So the book has it's limitations and some errors and omissions. Still, it is one of a kind and is important in what it does accomplish: to present these rapidly disappearing company sleeves for posterity. Hopefully, if there is a second edition it will correct the errors noted here and expand upon the good work it has already furnished.

GOOD BOOK
Good information. If you are into these items. I really like this book. There are many sleeves missing, but they are usually of little known sleeves.
