I have thumb arthritis and carpal tunnel so cutting can be an issue. I had an indoor/outdoor rug that I have wanted to cut up for YEARS.I saw someone on TikTok using something similar. 🤯 i didn’t know it existed—lol. This pair did not break the bank, feels sturdy, the steel is sharp and seems to be a good gauge. Adjusting is easy on the fly, I recommend for cardboard as well. I’ll try them on foam core next.

These are a good tool to have for the garden, because you can cut something along the ground without getting the blades embedded in the dirt. The blades are very sharp and can cut easily along the black weed fabric. I really like that these have a setting to lock the blades for safety -- but also a setting to open them a lesser amount, and then the full amount. For people with smaller hands, it can be difficult to open and close garden tools that have spring hinges, especially when wearing gloves! But the smaller opening setting on these makes them easy to use with small hands. I used these to cut through lemongrass and it worked well, with sharp blades making the cuts pretty easy -- though to cut the larger sticks I had to switch to the expanded opening so that I could get enough leverage. These look nice, have a safety lock feature, and have sharp blades and work well. This is a useful tool to have for garden and yard work. It has a nice aqua colored grip so it is kind of fancy for a tool and would make a good gift for any gardener.

This item is a great help when cutting into difficult plastic, cardboard and zip-ties placed on newly purchased items.

I had carpet pads( thick) longer than my carpets. It cut the assess great.

Very sharp with a good grip for my small hands. Used for leather and heavy gage vinyl. Worked very well through 2 and 4 layers.
