I've tried this outlet in exterior light fixtures, directly facing the sun. In outdoor lamps with more than 8 hours of direct sunlight. None of them work. Save your money and buy a better product.

Beware that this is a little longer than some others. If you are putting this in a wall-mount fixture with a glass enclosure (like on a garage door entrance), then you need a "short" bulb (not too long), or the glass won't go back on. I had to find a new, different, shorter light bulb, but now it works OK.

These outlets work perfectly for my outdoor lights. The sensors work great and they turn on and off as they are supposed too (dusk/dawn). I had problems with my old adaptors starting to make my lights flicker. They were a different brand that I'd been using for 7 years. I bought these as a replacement and they are less bulky, easy to install and no issues with functionality.

These are so great. They’re super easy to install. They did not change the light level at all. They’re black so they don’t really show up, they blend in with my light fixtures seamlessly. You just need to be sure you have enough space in your fixtures to accommodate them. I did have one break because I tried to tighten it too much. So only snug em up and you’ll be fine! My lights come on when it’s dark and go off when the sun comes up. They’re seriously exactly what I needed for a great price.
