For all budding comic ‘editors’ or cartoonists!!
The media could not be loaded. As a child I loved making my own comics and this book very much taps into children who enjoy drawing comic characters and who like comics. Not your ‘superhero’ comics , your traditional British comics like The Beano. There are pages on how to draw backgrounds, adding ‘sound’ etc.if you’ve got a child who enjoys comics and drawing then this is a fun and informative book. There are plenty of pages at the back to think of your own stories and make them real.

OK for a drawing book
This is a great book for any young Beano fans and does provide plenty of colour and characters from the comic, however I think I expected more with regards to the "How to Draw" element. There isn't as much as I was expecting and I don't think it's as stepped as it should be for younger users. My young daughter did enjoy using the book and attempted to draw her versions of the characters but it didn't hold her attention for as long as I thought it would which was unusual considering how much she likes drawing. The book itself is made from good quality paper and well presented and overall not a bad addition to the comic but probably better for older children.

Lots of fun
A really fun and useful book for helping people (young and old alike) to learn how to draw and bring out their creative side. The book is packed with tips and tricks in how to draw various characters and scenery/backgrounds, and helps you to develop all of that into your own comic strips. It also helps to try and bring out your creativity and imaginative side by helping you develop your own stories to set your comics to.The book itself is really nice quality, and with the Beano branding is filled with all of your favourite characters (and instructions on how to draw them!).

Need some artistic skill
This is a good sized book, with lots of activities included so if it catches your child's interest, it will keep them occupied for a while.Personally, I found a lot of the activities still quite difficult, as I'm not particularly good at drawing, for example simply splitting a character down across a grid and trying to draw a square at a time doesn't really help! But for an artistic person, I would expect they would work on the activities with enthusiasm.
