Fabulous Router , simple easy to set up . Great for caravan or home use
I purchased this router, having watched a video on U tube from an independent Tec Guru . Not being a Tec person I was worried about setting it up , I need not have worried , I simply downloaded the app plugged it , worked instantly. The SIM card from Vodafone Spain registered but wouldn’t allow data .I sent a mail to GL inet customer support. With twenty minutes a lady called Cathy Lue , replied took me through how to activate the SIM card , she also gave instructions on how set up multi WAN , to set the router to use all networks available. WiFi , & SIM card etc . The internet connection is staggeringly good , This is the router you need if your travelling abroad , or for use at home I would strongly recommend this high quality router

2 step up from Huawei Cpe Pro 2
I've used a Huawei CPE pro 2 before, but required to purchase an additional range extender to get adequate speed around the house. Speed was not bad as had a couple 4G & 2x 5G mast around the area. I done a few check against popular brands when i've spot this "non known" brand. After positive & negative reviews i take the risk and purchased one. The setup is not straightforward, took 15-20 min to connect to the internet. So many option come up when setup sim (apn, certain ids, mtu (need for the connection). The os is quite good with huge range of configuration options). Vpn, adguard, extra plugins, tor, smb file server, band block, failover just to name a few.. After spent another 1-2hr with figure out the best bands around the house was confident to lock the bands of the top range from lte, 5g networks. Device only capable for 5G NSA atm but assume will change with the time and presence of new tower implementation. Speedwise gained another 30% on dl and 10% upload, plus the stability of the speed. With the huawei it fluctuate on speed, with this device is solid constant speed. Also i use external poynting 5g v3-1 external antennas mounted from inside facing to windows. As a bonus: the builtin wifi controller with the antennas from the box give much bigger coverage and no longer need the range extender! Plus can turn off 2.4 ghz and just use 5ghz only! I can't do that with the huawei! I'm not against my old unit, still strong, but this unit much better from day 1! Speed tested with smarty (3) sim card. I did not regret the purchase. The adapter cable is very short, but i was aware of it and ordered with an extension cable which not long enough!Negatives i've found so far:- not straightforward setup- adguard (block cookies/trackers) not working as advertised- price?!- limited vpn providers to setup- short (30 cm cable)!!!!Positives:- SPEED!- stability- Coverage (wifi)-phone app- Os (tonns of configuration option)- firmware update (first not known brand which keep release new patches)- wall mount and premium feel antennas with label on the top! (Wifi, 5g)
