I just bought my second unit after my first one stopped steaming after four years. Much better than those high-heat personal steamers that you can buy. I use it every morning for ten or fifteen minutes while reading my email. It's helped me keep the infections away for years by keeping my sinuses clear. I don't use their ultrapure water packs in mine. I just buy the gallon distilled from the grocery store (Don't use tap water). But that could be why mine only lasted four years. It looks like it failed because the ceramic heating disk down inside got gunked up and I can't reach it to clean it. Great product tho and, if I have to buy new every four years, so be it..

Replacing a frying pan for steaming my nose and throat. More costly, yes, but definitely a more effective and more elegant solution 😄(Edit) Device failed next day after this review. A short e-mail to TechSupport was answered promptly and a replacement was shipped immediately without further questions. Return of failed device was not required. Excellent support!(Second Edit) Replacement device failed after five weeks with same problem (heater failed.). The device was beginning to really help my sinuses and it is a real disappointment - the concept is good but it is poorly designed and/or manufactured.. I seldom write negative reviews, but I feel it is necessary to warn others to not purchase a MyPurMist. My $100 was wasted, do not waste yours..(Third Edit) The company is determined - they sent a third device. And this one failed exactly the same way yet again, with the heater no longer working after using the device twice a day for thirty days (one half liter bottle of medical grade distilled water.) So I am back to using another brand which is much less convenient to use, does not help my breathing as much, costs a third as much, but the heater still works. MyPurMist, if you choose to solve the heater problem please feel free to send me a fourth device and I will be happy to try again. But at this point, not only my money but my time and a big pile of shipping materials have been wasted on this purchase.

I noticed this product was being used by a very good vocalist for vocal chord hydration. I figured if she used it, it was a good product. I asked her about it and she highly recommended it. I bought one and have used it several times. It really is a quality product. It works as advertised, is well made, quiet and the pouch it fits in to really does provide hands free use. The self cleaning feature works well.

This product is definitely easy to use, and I love the way it seems to open up my airways. BUT, the drying cycle doesn't appear to work very well, if at all. You can see from this picture all the condensation on the inside of the unit after the drying cycle ran. I even did it twice. I wonder what type of mold or other crud might build up over time.

Works as promised, was comfortable, an easy to use inhaler type device!

I had this same model for quite a while until the cleaning fan stopped working. When I received this new one, it sort of worked once but the fan never came on. The second time the unit would not even turn on. I was also using their distilled watr which came with the unit. I have called the company twice with no luck, gave a seller review and no word. Had I known it was not returnable I would have picked one up at Walgreens where i ciould return it had it not worked. I saw more than one review where people had problems with this device but still took a chance. I really need what this product does and appreciate that it self cleans but it is no good to me if it does not work, particularly if I can't get a replacement or mymoney back.

This is my second unit. I had my last one for at least 10 years and it just died is few months ago. I tried buying other units because some of the reviews weren’t the greatest….bad choice. The PurMist steamer in my opinion is the BEST of them all. It’s easy to use, compact and you can use Distilled water. I have my new unit since April 23 and so far so good 😊… and praying this unit lasts me for at least a few years…and if it doesn’t, I still would buy this product again tomorrow.Oh, the only thing I dislike is the mask is a bit of a challenge to attach to the unit, but just take it slow and it finally goes on… with that said, I still wouldn’t buy any other model than the My PurMist steamer, really the best of all the rest.
