Easy to shatter tank but responsive AAA+ service
Barely had this two weeks, the plastic tank unbalanced when empty, the weight of the piping pulling it down, we didn't 'drop' it, it pretty much dropped itself!) and it shattered into five pieces even though it landed on carpet. Inkbird customer services were quick to reply to my email about a replacement tank, asking for the Amazon order number and visual evidence. They sent a complete replacement - not just the tank - pretty much immediately and were really helpful. I have other Inkbird products - reptile tank thermostats - and recommend them.

Broke on 3rd use
Broke the 3rd time I used it. Reservoir leaked into the system and totally fried all the electronics.Sexy machine but doesn't work. Spend the extra money.

Really good
My mushroom โgrow tentโ is about 1m square. And this is ample to fill to 90% humidity, lots of swirling mist, looks good. All at its lowest setting. Its my favourite toy this week.

Brilliant for creating a cloud forest for orchids. (Review updated!)
Review updated 06/09/23 so the initial review below is now null and void.We have bought several of these type of humidifier over the last several years to create the correct conditions for some of my Wifes orchids which are in a terrarium, this is far better than any we have bought previously, they really do not last long if they are the type that has to go in the terrarium, the metal fittings rust very quickly but with its extendable delivery {very long} pipe this solves that problem. It puts out a lot of vapour, more than we need in fact so we run it at about halfway on the dial so it is easy to adjust the output. As it is only ever on for an hour or two each day I can not say how long the water would last if running continuously but I would guess at least 5 or 6 hours on full. This seems well made and is easy to clean but as it is used daily I will update this review if it suddenly fails badly like all the others we have owned.Ok folks I'm back, this unit failed on 1st September, it was delivered 3rd July so thats barely 2 months use and it was not cheap but as with every single humidifier I have bought so far the internal components are very cheaply made. This unit simply would not turn on so being a qualified electrician and auto electrician I decided to take a look inside.First I must point out that in hind sight the removable water container is not so good, a tiny peck of grit in the water will hold the water valve open and the reservoir will empty itself and dump a few litres of water everywhere including all over its own internal electronics. So upon opening it I discovered the live and neutral feeds coming in were no longer attached to the electronics inside, the connector block where the wires should be had rusted out completely, that is in under 2 months in an average humidity of 60-70% for a few hours a day.Really bad quality components, the metal pins the wires were soldered too were like tin-foil, Ive been wiring vehicles for over 30 years and never seen such poor quality connectors.I re-soldered the wires to their respective posts but it is still dead, no voltage detected with a multimeter on any connections so I assume an electronic component has failed but thats beyond my abilities so into the recycling it goes.It has a drain hole in the base so an overflowing reservoir was obviously anticipated by the manufacturer but the electronic board inside was also dripping wet, whether from the overflowing reservoir or just the ambient humidity I could jot say, it could have been water-proofed quite easily but was not.So all in all a very poorly built humidifier, all 6 or 7 Chinese built humidifiers I have bought have failed due to rust or corrosion on metal connectors internally. Not a single unit has lasted more than 4 months. Can anyone build a humidifier properly? So definitely not recommended.Cheaply made but not cheap to buy.Avoid!
