KONGSpunky Monkey Cozie Dog Toy, Small

I have a seven year old Boston terrier named Shaunti. She loves to run and play. She always has something in her mouth wanting you to throw it for her. We used to buy cheap toys at places like Wal-Mart and the dollar store and within days and never more than a week they were all destroyed . They simply could not hold up to the rough playing, chewing and tug-of-war that she likes to do . So last Christmas I decided to go with Kong brand. I had noticed that the price was extremely reasonable on Amazon compared to what it cost in the store . I ordered a large assortment of stuffed toys, balls and barbells. It is now the last week of June and all of her Kong toys are still in tact and the colors are still bright and vibrant. All the toys have been washed in the washing machine , dried in the dryer , left out in the rain , left out in the baking Texas sun , but they still hold up and the seems have not started tearing apart . I am writing this review so that other dog owners can see and hear from someone who's been there how well these toys are built and how they are well worth paying any price for them . I hope this helps you guys if you're reading this considering buying this toy because my pet absolutely loves them.

Kong makes great products for dogs to have a blast with. Either playing or cuddling. This monkey is no exception.

My small dog loves this toy. It's just his size, and it's really sturdy - he tends to rip open toys but not this one! My bigger dog got a hold of it and ripped open the nose area, but I used a sewing machine and closed the hole. Now my small dog likes it even more! The kong plush toys are good for small dogs - but the big kong plush toys are not made the same way and were disappointing. Will keep buying the small ones for my 6 pound dog, though.

We rescued an older Chihuahua a little over a year ago. He was neglected & abused & had never played with any toys. We got a few small toys for him, & the Kong Spunky Cozie Monkey was & still is his favorite. He'll play with the others (cow, alligator, bird) sometimes, but Monkey is his go-to toy. It's almost as big as his head. He treats it like it's his baby & licks it, grooms it, carries it around in his mouth, takes it outside, & brings it back inside. He knows what we're talking about when we ask him where's his monkey or baby. He's kind of OCD & licks & chews on it a lot; therefore, we have to wash it on a regular basis. He'll bring it to us to play a teasing game with him. The squeaker works & makes a cute little noise, but his jaws aren't strong enough to make it work, & he's actually scared or unsure of what to make of the noise. Anyway, it's well made, rugged, & stands the test of time. I'm buying a couple of backups just in case this one is lost or is ready for the trash can.

This toy is way to tiny. Your dog will have to be very small for this one. It’s only around 3” tall.

I purchased quite a few Kong wild knot bears in the past and at xmas, my dogs received the spunky monkey as a present, they liked it so I purchased 4 more. My small 6 pound dog prefers spunky cause its easier for him to carry around. He will carry the wild knot bear as well although it's almost as big as he is! Spunky monkey is a good alternative for a smaller dog. I find spunky is well made and has held up very well cause the xmas spunky still has his ears and paws (my bigger 12 pounder likes to chew on those parts). For the price, a worthwhile purchase. I ordered the small size spunky which is about 6" long.

My dog fell instantly and madly in love with Spunky the Monkey. It feels really sturdy, but she tends to be really destructive with toys... I'll update later when I know better how it will hold up. She likes it more than most toys, though. She's just a puppy and we've spoiled her with over $100 of toys so far, and I think she likes this one the most!UPDATE: 10 days later, she's still madly in love with Spunky. He's holding up perfectly, but it's because she's forcing herself not to hurt him. She'll lay him next to her and destroy other toys, but she treats him gently. Who knew this crazy puppy had that level of restraint? Now that's true love!!

nice toy, cute looking monkey. Nice for smaller dog to play fetch or cuddle with. Probably not a good choice for dogs that chew/eat up toys. I purchased this for my parents dog (adopted maltese). He likes to cuddle with it. He will put it in his bed. If you take it out, he will put it back in. If you put any other toys in his bed, he will take them all out except for the monkey. For some reason he really seems to like this little monkey. Genergally speaking, I usually like Kong products and this one is no different. I would recommend to a friend or purchase again.

Es pequeño, suave al tacto pero se nota firme, esta bien hecho y llego en tiempos esperados, ademas mi perrito salchicha se ve adorable jugando con el, como es ligero no tiene problemas en correr por toda la casa cargándolo en el hocico.

My dogs love these toys, I have only got small dogs and they haven't been ripped or chewed through unlike other so called hard wearing toys, so I have bought several. Would recommend.

Es un juguete ideal para los cachorros y perros adultos, es de un material muy resistente... A mí Chihuahua le encantó por su sueve y pequeño modelo...

Great size for border collie puppies aged 4 weeks

My puppy played with this for 10 mins a day as we were using it as a reward toy. A week in and he's split it open down the whole back. Not a durable toy for a dog
