Great manual
I have worked on alot of cars from changing oil to full rebuilds on motors, stock and high performance. I was a little leary on tearing into the motor of my V-star 1100 custom because I have never worked on motorcycle engines and the Yamaha shop made it out to be ALOT harder than it was. This manual was very detailed on how to replace my starter oneway clutch which saved me between $400-$450 dollars in just labor not to mention the savings that I had on finding the OEM part on line about $150 dollars less than the dealership. I strongly recommend the manual! Well worth the money that I paid for it!!!

Good Detail - Have used several Clymer Manuals over the years - All have helped!
Had everything I needed so far. Changing pipes, adjusting the carbs and changing the oil are some of the items I referenced before wrenching - It takes a lot of guessing out of the projects. It also helped me determine the "original" pipes that came with the bike were not the correct set so I was able to switch for the correct set with the seller of my 2008 V-Star 1100.

Great book with invaluable information.
I bought this book to assist me in working on y 2005 V Star 1100 Silverado. It has quickly become an invaluable tool! If you own a V Star 1100, you really should buy this book!

Great book, even for a beginner
Had to replace a fork seal on my 2007 V-Star Custom. The instructions were very detailed and allowed me to successfully complete my first repair. Provided everything I needed from the amount of fork oil to special tools required for the job. I look forward to my future savings by using the manual to make repairs on my own that a mechanic would charge up to triple the amount to accomplish.

It is what it says it is
A great companion to have when maintaining your bike. It is not the Dummy's guide to VStar though. Some previous shop knowledge and this book is a great combo. I unfortunately to did not have the previous shop experience so there is a lot of apprehension when trying to get my bike tuned and rolling.. But this is a personal fault not the books.

Great book. Makes it possible to do some complex repairs & prevents extra work
This was actually correct, an experience I have not had with repair manuals in the past. Good illustrations, good directions.

exactly what I was looking for! Perfect!
Great book, lots of details. The photography could be more "high definition" as most are black and white and not always displayed in "large Plan" details are sometimes difficult to flesh out. This said it's an excellent book for anyone trying to figure thins out.
