Poor quality control
Can't review this properly as the night vision doesn't work. This appears to be common fault as it is mentioned in another review with it's replacement also being faulty hence the quality control title. This one is going back and I won't be ordering another one of the same make.

Night vision didn't work
So the picture quality through day time is great, the woodlands I put this up in is riddled with wild life and it didn't pick a single thing up during the night even though I had it on a deer path and when I was checking it just as daylight was showing up and there was deer right by my camera as I startled em going to the camera, I didn't have a single image of em, followed the instructions and it picked up nothing, tbh aswell, my cat hunts rabbits that are near the trail cam and it didn't pick her up either other than when I set it up, I had it on the fastest delay which is 5seconds and I caught nothing in 24hours

Excellent camera
The media could not be loaded. I live in a place surrounded by woods and fields. We get a lot of wildlife in our garden and I wanted this trail camera to capture the commings and goings. The camera is very easy to use and comes with batteries however I have put in some rechargeable batteries just to save having to buy them all the time. The camera even comes with an SD card so you can start capturing images and video straight away. You can stamrap this to a branch or post with the included strap which is very strong and secure. The still images and video are of high quality for both day and night mode and the motion capture works great.Overall this is a very solidly built trail camera that works as it should and captures stunning images and video. Worth every penny in my opinion. Love it.

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL
I have 4 cameras and this one by far is the worst. Awful night vision, awful day vision, motion detection is next to useless and battery life only a couple of weeks. Then stopped working completely after just 5 weeks. Spend your money elsewhere !!!

Very disappointed
the camera appears to be second hand as (a) it doesn't close without binding with damage where the two sections meet, (b) the settings screen is badly scratched, and (c) it has now failed to function (Batteries are fully charged, and new batteries tried, but this has made no difference).I will be applying for a refund.

Screw fit for tripod not the correct thread
The camera worked as it should. The screw thread for my tripod was either the wrong thread or damaged. So tripod couldn't be used. I will return the camera and try a more expensive one.

Not bad for a cheaper trail camera
I now have 16 trail cameras for viewing wildlife on my property and national forest adjoining my land. So far, all have come with protective film over the lenses, LED lights and viewing windows. This one did not come with those bits of film except on the main LED light area (and that one was barely attached and fell off before I could remove it (Also, the viewing window was badly scratched in multiple places, making me wonder if it was a used product that may have been a return?) One star off for that. This is the first of this brand I have tried so I wanted to put it through its paces for a bit before reviewing. Fortunately, I had a perfect area for operations since I was trying to capture a video of a mother rabbit visiting her nest in the middle of a bed of peppers in my garden!I still have not worked out why I don't seem to be able to capture the images I am after--some sort of tweaks to settings I am sure. It shoots perfectly fine, if a tad grainy, and "jumpy", video during the day (I have loads of images of my dogs sniffing around the temporary enclosure I put up to protect the baby bunnies) but it fails to pick up the mother rabbit visiting the nest at night. Two other cameras I set up nearby DID pick up the mother, so I'm not sure what the problem is.The field of view is not particularly wide and the few night shots I have managed to get (sans rabbit) showed very little illumination beyond a few feet on either side of the camera. Again, this may be something to do with the settings.I am somewhat disappointed so far, but I am hopeful that with a bit more use in a wider variety of settings and a few teaks to the setup, I may get better results. I am not taking more than one star off at present because I am pretty sure it's slightly disappointing results are more from user error than camera faults. I will update if the problems persist or if I do finally get a better result.

Really good trail camera
So I'm pretty happy with the way this trail camera has performed. It managed to catch obscure critters that were getting on my property, and recorded photos and video of them when they passed in front of the sensor. The pictures were clear and of high quality (I did select the highest quality settings during the setup). This camera comes with everything in the box so you can hit the ground running. Included were 8 long-life AA batteries, a 64 Gb micro SD card with an SD adapter, and a strap to tie the unit to a tree or something. Pretty happy with it, and it performs just as well as my more expensive name brand trail camera with the same quality. This camera took 776 pictures over the course of 2 days, as opposed to the 816 that the name brand one took, which isn't bad at all. Both took pictures and video in high resolution, and both did everything I needed them to do.The only big downside to this one is the button layout for selecting settings in the menus. The physical buttons on this unit are horrendously laid out, and are a pain to use. The etching on what the button does is the same color as the button, so you can't just look at it and know, you have to angle it so the light hits the button just right to see what its function is. The button layout is also bad, because you have the directional buttons in the center, with menu, confirmation, and other accessory buttons on the outside, kind of creating a box of buttons for the directional buttons. Confusing, right? It isn't any better in person, trust me.

Takes great daytime pics, nothing at night!
Digitgarden Trail Camera C500 model: C500 takes great daylight pictures (including late evening and early morn). What it did not do was take any nighttime pictures during my trials. First test, nighttime pictures absent. I reviewed the set-up and found all was in order, so tried a second time, Even went out at night and walked in front of it to make sure it had something to take a picture of; again nothing! Tried a third time, this time indoors at night - pictures with light on, great, as soon as I shut off the light - no results.Up until this major flaw, the camera had a lot going for it. I found it easy to set up. Came with batteries, a micro SD card plus the adaptor to transfer pictures and videos from camera to computer. Transfer using the included USB cord also worked well. Reviewing pictures and videos on the camera itself was simple. The SD card was clear of any security concerns as was the camera itself when I ran a security scan. From other reviews seems I am not the only one who has had issues with the night vision. The frame that holds the strap for securing to a tree or other solid object, is very well made. The pins and clips on the hinges and door clips are metal. Over all the camera has a robust build that would hold up to use and outdoor elements. Would have rated 5 stars had it took nighttime pictures and videos as described.

Works well; "wireless" only in the sense that you physically move the memory chip to your computer
Item description: Trail cameraBrand: DigitgardenItem: B0C7CKSZ7RDate received: 2023-07-02Headline - Works well; "wireless" only in the sense that you physically move the memory chip to your computerProduct Claims1 ct, trail camera, night vision, still or video, many settings and options64 GB micro-SD XC-1 chip with SD adapter, included8x AA batteries, includedmounting strap, includedUSB to USB-C cable, includedcolor: woodland camoflageI received exactly what was claimed in the product description. The item came in a commercial pasteboard box on which the manufacturer's was information printed. A nice multi-language user's manual was included, as well as a quick-start summary card.No surprise, trail cameras have continued to evolve and expand their capabilities at a given price point. This camera is far more capable than other cameras that were available at the same price point just 2-3 years ago. It includes not only the 8 AAA batteries required for operation, but it comes with a decent 64GB micro-SD XC-1 chip (10MB/sec speed class, V10 video speed class) as well as a SD adaptor to allow the memory chip to be inserted into older equipment for review. The LCD preview and menu screen is also several times larger that these units from several years ago. This is not a remote unit that is connected to a cell or other network - despite a claim in the product description that this is "wireless", there is no connectivity. To download the still and video results you need to remove the card and copy the files to another computer system. This unit is going up on a tree, and we'll see how it performs over time.

Not bad for a budget camera
I ordered three different trail cameras and finally had a chance to check them out in a natural setting. The Digitgarden camera daytime image is clear and on par with the other two cameras. Where it appears this camera stood out is with the sensitivity. A deer and coyote came into the yard and only this camera captured them. Unfortunately, the night images with both, video and picture were poor in clarity. Of course, because the other two didn't trigger, I can't compare them. Because I was able to make the images out, I'm not going to take the rating down too much. For a budget camera, the performance isn't terrible so, I gave it four stars overall. I pingsuggest step up to a better camera for critical areas though.
