Confusing but riveting
Usually, I get rid of a book that is so convoluted that it changes directions multiple times. However, this story is tightly crafted and reads well.

If Sci-Fi and conspiracy stories are you're thing, "Project Atlantis" will likely entertain.
If Sci-Fi and conspiracy stories are you're thing, "Project Atlantis" will likely entertain. Brandon Ellis introduces interesting characters and plot in "Project Atlantis." The story moves at a steady pace, making the book an entertaining and quick read. If you're a stickler for grammar, this book may frustrate you. Grammatical errors are evident throughout the book, and are distracting at times; however, not so much to make me put the book down. In my opinion, a more extensive copy edit and some developmental polishing would make this book even more enjoyable than it is. All in all, I'm looking forward to learning what happens to Kaden, Rivkah, Slade, and the others in "Destination Atlantis."

Tie into lost continent of Atlantis, global warming and overreach of government - 3.5 stars
The government of the United States has done some incredible research and development - fast travel off-planet, under the earth and medical rejuvenation to identify some.Studying the hieroglyphs of the pyramids, Kaden Jaxx has been fairly successful in understanding the ancient writing and is about to publish his scholarly findings. There are some people who want Kaden Jaxx's knowledge, not just of the Pyramids but of his forgotten years working for the Secret Space Project overseen by the Global Safety Administration. There is a good sequence on breaking computer security that every network administrator is aware of: people writing down passwords.A psychiatrist helps to reveal hidden memories, a younger than usual Alzheimer's sufferer and an explanation of the periodic re-occurrence of rising water levels on earth. To compound the complexity, we are also introduced to an alien species on an earth-like planet that has developed even more fantastic technology. And the GSA wants to take over the alien's home planet. As the earth is about to sink into another underwater catastrophe, what would you do? Politicians have enabled their savior and he is delivering on his promise. The intrigue is well done. Downplaying miraculous health technology and information technology is disappointing. There are four more books that follow in this adventure series.

Good Read
A little slow getting into the story, but before you even realize it, you’re hooked. I can’t wait to see where it goes next.

OMGosh, OMGosh......
I don't usually ready space sci-fi because, well, I have about 2,000+ ebooks (and the old-fashioned paper books) to read, but I like Brandon Ellis' books, so I thought I'd give it a try. The first couple chapters were really good, but OMGosh, I was hooked by the time I finished chapter 3! This is an amazing read, and your brain with get a workout, believe me. I can't wait to continue the story - the end was a real cliff-hanger, but a good one. Generally I don't like books that end like a chapter where you want to read the next "chapter" without stopping, but this one is well worth the read. Be sure to order the next book way ahead of time to save you the agony I'm going through. As soon as I hit SUBMIT, I'm ordering it....... Thank you Brandon for wonderful, spellbinding stories.

Incredible Story with Zany Characters: What's Not to Love?
[Spoiler alerts] I really enjoyed this novel. I'm not a big fan of cliff hangers, and this has a giant one. Left to myself, the cliff hanger would have resulted in a 4.5 rating, but Amazon's system doesn't allow that. Anyway, you can look at this story in more than one way. On one level it involves a secret space exploration effort carried out by the U.S., involving a trip to one of the moons of Jupiter in 2018. Well, we all know that no project on that scale could have been kept secret, so there has to be at least one more angle. There is. It involves a secret effort to evacuate the political elite off the planet Earth, leaving everybody else behind. Right! Secret? Not a chance! We also know that the government can't keep secrets. Somebody leaks whatever it is. And then there's yet another angle: the characters, both good guys and bad guys, are the zaniest group of people you can imagine. That's what makes the story fun: a crazy story with zany characters AND excitement. Just don't take it too seriously.

Great story, great concept, writing needs a little work
Love the story love the characters love the whole concept. I feel this is one of those books where if you're so focused on what could be realistic you'll be disappointed. But I personally love stepping into the story where anything's possible , I like being taken out of reality a bit and I felt this book did it for me. However the author really needs to hone his writing skills. Some moments felt very well-thought-out others felt like they were still in draft stage. I could definitely tell that there was some areas he spent more time in than others. I feel he should work on the way he describes how scenes play out some moments I felt like I was reading something that I wrote on Facebook to describe an event and that's not a good thing LOL. Some moments were way too casual when they really deserved Rich diction that pulled you into the moment instead of just a comment on how the scene looked from an outside bystander. Some events in the story line felt rushed and overlooked such as when Drew was juggling in a park to make money I mean I think the author could have came up with something better then that to describe Drews survival skills. Hopefully in the next few books the author improved on his diction and come up with better chain of events.

Definitely worth reading
I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into when I first started reading this book but it kept getting better and better the further I got. I was so riveted that by the time I realized I was at the end of the book I almost cried. I don't want to wait to find out what happens next to Kaden or Drew so I am gonna go and get the next book right away.

Project Atlantis Book 1
I enjoyed this story a lot, I was a little confused at times, just like the main character Jaxx, but I believe that was intentional, it increases the drama, you start wanting to find out about Jaxx and his missing time, some swearing, it didn’t bother me, but some readers may be put off, that would be a shame because it is a good story.
