Spartan - Molon Labe Tactical Patch - Coyote by Gadsden and Culpeper

Not much to say, but, this is a very "sexy," patch. The aggressive nature of this patch is very appealing and quality is what is expected.

This is a nice patch. I also like the meaning of the ancient Greek words Molon Labe. For most that get this patch, they know what it means. For those that do not: When the Persian king Xerxes asked King Leonidas and his 300 Spartans to lay down their arms at the battle of Thermopole, and join him, his reply was typical Spartan form: Molon Labe- It translates to come "receive them yourself", or come and get them yourself. The Spartans and 1000 Thespians went e to on to hold off the entire Persian army for days, until they were betrayed by a Greek named Efialtis, who showed the Persians a goat path to come up behind them. The 1300 soldiers were aware of this, yet stayed behind knowing that they were going to die a glorious Spartan death. Due to their delaying action, the rest of the Hellenic forces were able to regroup and defeat the Persian. To this day, their courage and heroism is remembered. The words Molon Labe are proudly worn by warriors of the same ilk as the mighty Spartans.

Great detail and quality patch! Well worth it!

Truth is, there is not much to review about this patch. Seems durable, very well made, with a nice Velcro on the back, very nice weave (you can clearly distinguish the letters from the background). One thing I wish could be done differently, though, is the background. In the product image, the color looks like a sandy, flat brown, but in the patch I received, the color is a bit more sparky… and I can't really describe the color, so I'll be posting picture later.Overall, I recommend this product (in case someone is interested, I normally wear this patch in my Sandstone Rush 12, fits perfectly).

The stitching on this patch is awesome. In some lower quality patches the stitching can make it hard to tell what the design is... certainly not in this case. The lines are crisp and pretty self explanatory. Molon Labe...I keep it on my black  Maxpedition Condor-II Backpack .. and the colors match perfectly. The hook-and-loop feels VERY strong and though i'm rough on my gear I don't see the patches coming off by accident.Pay attention to the seller you choose. Gadsden and Culpeper will ship free if you get 5 items ;)

After reading the below review, I decided to take a chance on this offering since it fit my present gear set perfectly in color -- at least in the pic. I figured, less than 5 bucks, not a huge gamble.Well worth the gamble. The patch I received is a 100% match to the above listing and pic. It is also a proper match to standard OD Green equipment and MOLLE gear.Had I need for another, I would certainly get another.
