IGR HALLUX VALGUS MEDIUM RIGHT (SHOES NO.7-8.5) (BUNIOUN SPLINT - NIGHT)/SINGLE

This product is only useful for application at bedtime. It doesn't provide much support at all and will likely come off the foot during sleep, especially if you move around much. I have consistently used it in an attempt to prevent further tendon contracture of the hallux. I don't expect any significant improvement, but would be satisfied if I could prevent further contracture.I slightly modified mine by using a heat gun to soften the plastic and change the angle to a more inferior direction. I also used velcro around the great toe and another strap around the foot at the upper-most end of the splint to provide a more secure fit.You may wonder why I buy it at all if I give it only two stars? Simply because it is the only reasonably priced splint that I could find for my needs.

I purchased this device with the recommendation from my doctor and I can say it's worth it. BUT! I recommend purchasing several because of the time that is needed to be worn, correction time as well as the consideration of wear and tear of this device. The medium is perfect for a 11 1/2 shoe size person.

I was reluctantly considering considering bunion surgery but some of the post-op horror stories had me very concerned. Found the Bunion Regulator on Google, have been using for 12+ months, every night. Not sure if my bunion has actually gotten smaller but my large toe has definitely straightened out a lot making my severe problem with shoes fitting almost totally disappear. This device really helps control large bunion problems. It's not at all uncomfortable to wear, and you get used to walking with it on (if you need to take a short jaunt to the kitchen for a midnight snack). Great product.

After long wearing for months, the velcro comes lose. On new pair I just order I had to sew velcro together at seam on one side.

I have been wearing this night splint on both feet since 2004. The small bunions on my feet have not gotten any bigger or worse. I swear by these!

foot surgeon recommended to use as option to delay any surgery. Seems to be very effective.

Ok but plastic broke from pressure to tighten

Works great! However, it does get brittle after a certain period of time - 9 months or so and then they tend to break. They are very comfortable and it does not disturb my sleep having it on.
