Hands-Free Backpack Umbrella Holder – for Backpack Use, Essential Traveling Accessories for Daily Use

Sturdy method for attaching small umbrella to a backpack. I’m impressed at the thought that went into it because with some adjustment it’s flexible enough to works on almost every type of pack and with most umbrellas. A bit bulky to always carry around JIC, but for hiking in the rain it was crazy comfortable and freed my hands for treking poles, binoculars, and snacks. Ok,. not all at once of course!

Not useful at all. Unstable. Requires a lot of assistance to maneuver.

Not yet used in heavy rain. The installation is straightforward, and nice to include a chest band. Wish it could be a little bit more stealthy, looks a bit bulky on a lightweight daypack

For now, I am giving three stars because it seems to be made of a cheep brittle plastic and the screw on cap has nothing to really secure it down. If need be, I may add a rubber ring on it to keep it from backing off while moving around. We will see how long it lasts without breaking.I am using this in combination with another umbrella holder product and a home made harness because I can't find anything that works by itself.

This is a perfect solution to carrying umbrella hands free. I think I added a strap tie at the bottom so it leaned less but otherwise it was exactly what I was looking for. Perfect for hiking.

It felt like it was going to break off. Extremely cheap material, 0/10.

It definitely works and holds your umbrella in place…. But depending on the wind and direction of the rain, it’s not a very good solution. I also wanted to use it for my parasol, but same problem. The location of the sun changes while you’re walking, and wind is a variable… so unless you live somewhere there is no wind… this might work for you.

So this thing ACTUALLY WORKS, which I was honestly NOT expecting! The design is pretty nifty, there's two large rectangular pieces that have two screws connecting them, so they can be adjusted to the poofiness of your backpack strap. The item comes in a box that also contains a skinny black strap of some kind, which I can't quite figure out? But my best guess is that it's for you to be able to use the holder without a backpack, with just the strap over your arm. Not sure.The holder has a large screw-off knob portion that mates to a U-shaped protrusion on the facing outwards rectangle, which actually ALSO SLIDES UP, that's a HUGE benefit! This means you can leave the umbrella attached to the clamping part AND pull it off your backpack for when you're going inside, without having to do the time-consuming step of unscrewing the big knob every time you want to put it on or off.I used this with a small, retractable umbrella only, because of the weight awkwardness of carrying a large size umbrella on one shoulder, it might pull my backpack down. The compress-able part of the umbrella did not fully shrink down with the central attachment slid off and still attached to it, but heck, if it works half as well in real life as it did in my test walk around my living room, this will be FULLY worth the money!
