Not a satisfying read
I'm a bit surprised at this as i thought Clive Cussler was / is supposed to be some uber good author, i wanted to try something different so i thought i'd take a punt. The opening chapters were good and i thought this could be a decent read. Unfortunately after the opening sequences the book started to read a bit like a comic strip, all "action" and just no character depth or interesting dialogue and far too unrealistic motivations. The turning point for me came when, after the opening Sydney opera house chapters, this guy- who is supposed to be on some sort of holiday or conference- pretty much on a whim, decides to spend money, call his partner in crime, and then go on this elaborate investigative journey in the outback....really? The motive of the hero to go on this journey were just too unrealistic, it kind of put me off, after that the pages became an increasing struggle and i found myself skim reading and deciding not even half way through enough is enough. I'm surprised how bad it was, really sorry i'm sure it has fans and entertains on some level, it did not do it for me.

Another earth-shaking adventure yarn from mr Cussler and Mr Brown
You know what you're in for when you read a Clive Cussler novel - entertainment, entertainment and more entertainment. Yes it's formulaic, but it's like eating your favourite chocolate bar, knowing the ingredients are there. I especially like the twist regarding the villain, and he's quite memorable, and the conflict between the Russian and the hero adds to the tension as they try to stop the villain from starting an earthquake via a device designed by Tesla. The action scene in Sydney Opera House and the hovercraft chase in Antarctica are quite exciting.Rex Grainger - the author of Elixir Stone

Another adventure story from Mr Cuddler, a lot of science, but with a good blend of action, this book does the job.i like the Bromance between Kurt and Joe and the cameo from Dirk Pitt and the fact he didn't take the attention from.Overall a good book and you won't get bored.

Zero Hour: NUMA Files #11
I thought that the book was good. The characters are always outstanding and keep you guessing throughout the book. I enjoyed reading the book and would recommend it to others. The humour throughout the book was very enjoyable. I always enjoy the banter between the main characters. It was a real surprise to hear that the story was based in Australia.

Another excellent novel.
This novel is well up to and above the standard usually produced, it was nail biting all the way through, Clive is a generous. Fabulous can't wait for the next book.
