Hi so first i gave it 4 stars as it was making a squeaky sound when opening but now that i am usiing it there is no more any sound n it keeps the liquid hot for a long time n no dripping or any other issues so 👍

The red color is just like the photo, a slightly muted not bright cherry red color just as I hoped. I first filled this with tap water and turned it upside down as in the ad photo. It did not leak or drip. I next tested this with a routine i use for every thermal cup or pot. I filled this with my morning coffee and sat it on the corner of my desk. The coffee stayed very hot from 6 am through noon when I finished drinking coffee. I then rinsed the pot and cooled it with cold faucet water. I poured some cold water in and added about 6 ice cubes. This then sat on my desk from noon through late. There was still ice when I got up in the morning. So this is an excellent thermal carafe. Appearance is a personal preference sort of thing. If you like the look and color then this will work very well for you. I'm pleased to have this. At $19.99 it seems fairly priced.

This comes in handy more than you would know.
