Team natural Afro all the way π
Absolutely beautiful πππ EXACTLY what I was looking for! I want my daughter to always know her hair is literal Gold. We spent so long as black women hating our hair because of society that we didn't realise we had the hair of Queen's. Well we know it now!!! and we will not subject our babies to the rubbish we went through! I can't wait till my princess is old enough for her to understand the importance and significance of such a book π©πΎβπ¦±π©πΏβπ¦±

Brilliant...
Social media are telling girls unless you're hair is straight and (blonde) that you're not important.Embrace your platts and curly hair βΊοΈ You are Important and your hair is Specially designed.

A reflection on true life
Myself and my pre school group looked at this book together. The children reflected on their own hair and commented on others hair in the group. It was a positive message for all those little girls who dislike their hair.

Lovely book for little girls with Afro hair
This is a lovely story but aimed at a very young child. Beautifully illustrated and aimed at girls with Afro hair it tells a very true to life picture. I did think of returning it as it is too young for my granddaughter but have decided to keep it anyway as I really love the book and it's excellent value for money.

Lovely empowering heart warming book.
I work in a nursery where there is not a great deal of racial diversity, however we have a little girl with an African background and she adored this book. The other children were curious about her hair and this book was a lovely way of discussing respect for each other and of making her feel special. Highly recommended.

Beautifully written. When reading it
Any little child with an afro can relate to this book. Beautifully written. When reading it, it was like listening my daughter - it's exactly what happens / she experiences. A must for black girls! If you have a child with mixed heritage and are learning about their hair, this is a fantastic introduction for both of you.
