Cute little project

Got this for my daughter to make with grandma, and this was not easy to make. The directions were not easy to read or understand. The main fabric, and the face of the owl were not perforated so that you could use the plastic needle provided, you needed a rea needle to put this owl pillow together. It also seemed that there was not enough stuffing provided in this kit, we ended up using more of our own stuffing and it still was not enough stuffing to keep it from shifting.

My 8-year-old loves this. It keeps her busy. She has learned a lot with this kit. She really prides herself with the skills she has learned. Its really nice especially for beginners because the holes are preformed and the needle is big for little and new beginner's hands.

Fun kit, a little hard for a my little one to do on her own. But great family fun .

With some supervision, this kit is an excellent first kit for a child to start sewing. Everything has been prepared in advance, and the stitches needed to put it together are basic straight stitches with a few simple embroidery stitches for the eyes. For an older child, the body of the owl could also be constructed with a sewing machine. The little bird, whether used as a pillow or just for display, turns out as cute as he appears in the photos. When complete, the creator should be very proud of their work.
