If you are a restaurant or in the food service industry — Profit First for Restaurants is a cash management game changer for profitability as measured by cold-hard cash in the bank correlating to your profit.Profit First is especially valuable if you ever want to sell your business, or if have business partners, or investors, because nothing is more delicious than a successful and profitable restaurant.This book is loaded with practical advice — I recommend getting the companion workbook that provides more opportunity to go in deeper.Dare I say the author makes getting into your numbers fun and insightful without being hard or overwhelming.P.S. Also recently discovered there is a related podcast by the author called “NO RESERVATIONS” that is nourishing to snack on, too.

An Eye-Opener and Must Read for Any Restaurant Owner
A delicious read — sorry — restaurateur here and can’t resist the pun!!?!!Seriously, this book has been a game changer for us. It’s been about 10 months since we implemented the principles of Profit First for Restaurants and it has provided more clarity to our numbers and helped us finally improve our profitability.Where there is a will there is a way — and Profit First is the way with Kasey’s guidance and accountability.

Amazing Advice from an Amazing Leader!!!
I read the book last year — it’s pretty straightforward.Opened the bank accounts, but couldn’t get my bookkeeper (who was cheap, but no bueno) to help me dial it in for our business. (This book was recommended by a friend with a few restaurants in San Diego).After not getting what I wanted, I ponied up the extra coin to work with Kasey’s firm, Spark, and HOLY GUACAMOLE!!!! We are rolling in the green now!!!!Thank you Kasey for bringing the part of the business I didn’t appreciate (the numbers), to now being the part that I love because the stress of making payroll and paying taxes is now gone!!!!P.S. Love her podcast, “No Reservations,” too!

Profit First for Restaurants is a Game Changer!
Found Kasey's podcast, No Reservations on Apple Podcasts, and then discovered her book, Profit First for Restaurants. Then, we started working with her team at Spark to take care of our bookkeeping!While we may be paying more for bookkeeping bs than our prior bookkeeper, we have cash in the bank to correlate to our profits and are way more profitable now than before! So, I consider our move to Spark the best return on investment a restaurant can make.We are LOVING our numbers now thanks to Spark and their consultative approach to our business finances, accounting, and cash management.(The real secret is the cash management that's Profit First!)

Game Changer for Restaurant Money Management
I read the original Profit First in 2020. Without it I'm not sure my restaurant would have survived the pandemic. This niched addition really takes it next level. It's easy to understand and is immediately actionable. Following it's advice I saw improvements to my cashflow within days.If you own a restaurant and are trying to figure out why you're restaurant is busy but never has cash. This book is a must read. If you're a restaurant owner and has sufficient cash, trust me, you can dial it in more. Read this book.

Profit First has allowed us to create a restaurant that SURVIVED the pandemic in California & become debt free, with a savings account. I've owned my restaurant for 8 years and have "loosely" followed Profit First, but was confused by my industry specific needs. PF For Restaurants answers those questions and more. 2024 I will be deep diving into the plan and look forward to less "extra" spending on things I can't really afford and bringing home MORE profit. Must read.
