I'm a Kindergarten teacher, and I ordered these laminating pouches for my classroom to laminate new morpheme flashcards. The cards are made out of a thick cardstock, and I'm pretty sure after 2 or 3 times of using them they would be bent, torn, dingy, etc. These flashcards are going to see a LOT of use over the next few years.These laminating pouches worked perfectly for protecting my new flashcards for unlimited use! The pouches are nice and sturdy, thicker than the 3 mm ones you usually see, and I loved the larger size (11" x 17"). I was able to fit 4 large flashcards (5 1/2" x 8 1/2") side by side in each pouch. It worked brilliantly, the cards didn't move around during the thermal process in my laminator, and the laminate seems to be sticking very well to the cards.The only reason I gave it 4 stars, is that I had to run the cards and laminating pouches through my laminator about 5 times each to get a good seal to the cardstock. It could be because I was laminating thick cardstock combined with the thick 5mm pouches, or an issue with my laminating machine - I can't adjust the speed the laminating pouches feeds through. If you have a laminator that you can adjust to a slower speed to give it more time to seal, I'm sure that will do the trick.Overall, I really like them and they did the job nicely! I recommend running your project through several times to ensure a good seal because they're thick. I'm impressed with how clear they are, and not a bubble to be seen :-).

These are huge lamination pouches, compared to the standard copy-paper-sized ones that I have been using! Each "pouch," which is really two sheets of laminating plastic fused at one short end, can hold two sheets of copy paper, or multiple smaller pieces. 5-mil plastic is also a sturdier, thicker laminating plastic than some others that are available, and is similar to the plastic used for ID cards. I am pleased with the quality of the finished product, when I have used these for work projects!Two things to check before trying these pouches: 1) Make sure that your laminator can take an 11-inch wide sheet (one of my laminating machines can, but the other is more compact and can only do a 9-inch-wide sheet) and 2) Be sure your laminator can do 5-mil thicknesses. My machines both have a 3-mil and 5-mil setting, so if this is not standard, you'll want to be sure your machine can be adjusted to handle the different weights of plastic.

Throughout the school year there are always signs, classroom rules, activities and other projects that you want to protect. Sometimes there are things that you need to use right away and don’t want to put it in the office laminating pile. We invested in a thermal laminator a couple years ago and use it quite a bit. I like that these pouches are 11” x 17” for signs/posters or projects. You don’t have to limit your creativity to a smaller 8 1/2” x 11” space. These are 5mil thick which is plenty thick for most classroom items while also being easy to cut.

These laminating sheets are a lot bigger than I expected them to be. They do get the job done though and I like how you can fit 2 pages in the pouch at once! That does make it more effective. I could see the size of these laminating sheets to be a problem if your laminator doesn’t take the width of the pouch. Overall, I can recommend these laminating sheets if you are like myself and love to have things laminated and have a device that can accommodate the size!

My fault for not realizing my laminator doesn’t do legal size sheets so I had to trim these to use them. However once I did, they worked great. They sealed perfectly on the first pass in the machine and have no scratches or blurring. They are nice and thick and made well laminated final items. If your laminator does legal size then these won’t disappoint. There are 100 sheets making them a good value for the money.

Review from my wife: I use a bunch of these pouches at the beginning of each school year as I begin to laminate new signs and required hang up materials. This box of 100 pouches will last me for a while. I tried a pouch out on the 5 mil setting of my laminator. The product turned out really nicely. It is clear and smooth and 5 mil thickness, which creates a sturdy lamination. When laminating multiple items in the same pouch, it would be easy to cut them apart. The price point seems reasonable for quality clear, sturdy 100 pack of 5 mil pouches. I recommend these laminating pouches.
