My favorite yeast
I've been using kveik strains for the last 5 years or so, initially using another brand's liquid variety. Once I discovered this dry yeast version, it's all I use when I need a yeast for any clean fermenting American style ale, especially IPAs (American, hazy, red, and black IPAs usually), but I also started using it for brown ales, porters, and stouts once I converted the recipes from the low attenuating British yeasts I used before (Attenuation typically 75-80%).Where this yeast really shines is it's speed. I pitch yeast around 100 degrees F and hold it there throughout fermentation, and I've typically hit terminal gravity after about 36 hours. I drop the temp to about 70 F to dry hop, then crash and add gelatin to clarify. I've had beers carbed and serving in less than a week and a half.I usually just pitch the whole packet in dry, no rehydration needed. This yeast is so strong, I bet a half pack would still do a 5 gallon batch with no effort.

Great yeast!!
Used the boss in brewing a golden ale. Fermented at 5 degrees warmer than normal. Produced a very clear clean ale with a hint of citrus in the finish . Was a big hit with the ultra/ light beer crowd

Works very fast.
I saved saved half of this yeast, in an open package in a ziplock in my fridge, and half a year later pitched it into my wort. The yeast took off like mad in just an hour or two. Very active and healthy. Great yeast for warm summer months as the ideal temperature for this yeast is 95f-100f

Solved my peach taste problems!!!
I have been brewing for a long time and I go to products for is the old trusty 05. The problem is my beer has a theme and that theme is peachy taste. I’ve tried a variety of ways to solve the problem. I thought it was. My temperatures were too hot or my hops were too fruity. It wasn’t any of those things it was the yeast yeast didn’t leave a peach taste after fermentation and all of a sudden my beer taste so good. I’m really happy with these results.

good stuff, all the Lallemand yeasts I've used are good yeast.
I have been home brewing since 1981. This Voss yeast brings a whole new experience to the game. I love it for summer brewing. My normal go to if I am not doing something special is US-05, but Voss has replaced it for summer brews. I set my fermenter at 105-110F and I can have a clean beer done and ready to keg in 36 hrs. Amazing!
