I use this ceramic in my koi pond to get that sparkly effect in the water and to really kick it up a knotch and because if I was a koi fish in a different life I would want clean and clear water.....

They have plenty of porous holes for bacteria to grow. They are high-quality and do not break easy. They would be easy to remove and wash off when they get too dirty. Highly recommend.

I like the media it has lots of small holes and has very little dust to it. I did wash it before adding it to the sump. Beware it is packaged horribly! There is no separation from block to block in the box. As you can see from the picture that over half of my order was broken.

I was surprised about how much media I received, this will last years. It is very porous and has lots of surface area for bacteria. The blocks have a hole through the middle so they will not clog easily and will not reduce the flow of the filter. I used some in the media basket of my all in one cube aquarium. It fits perfectly there and the flow is really good. I used others in the baskets of my FX4. The FX baskets are round so these are not the best use of space, however they will do great mixed with other media.

De los 24 canutillos se rompieron 6, realmente éste es el mayor problema del producto, yo recomendaría que los envíen en la caja con separadores de cartón para vasos para que no choquen entre si y terminen rompiéndose, ya que venían en la caja sólo amontonados.En tanto al producto en si, decidí comprarlos por el color que es diferente a los clásicos canutillos de tono amarillento, y no me decepcionó, es un tono azulado bonito, se ven bien dentro del agua; se ven bastante porosos y se hunden de inmediato, espero resuelvan el problema del embalaje porque me gustaría volver a comprarlos pero no sé si todos se arriesguen a que lleguen tantos rotos.
