Worked as needed for crimping cables

I've used this to create custom length hanging wires for LED light fixtures. It has worked well for its purpose. Crimps are secure and have not slipped. Handle length is a good compromise between bulk and grip strength required. It does require some hand strength, but it is generally easy to use. Reasonably priced and works well.

For the price point, I expected this to be cheap, but I'm pleasantly surprised that it's actually really heavy duty and seems quite sturdy. I'm using it for 1mm steel rope, and it actually feels like overkill for such small wire. I find myself wishing they were smaller and lighter, like jewelry tools, because these things can't be used with any finesse. They are unwieldy in my small hands!I've used both the crimping and the cutting functions on this tool several times now, and both work quite well. The cutting tool is very directional, so keep that in mind while cutting lest you cut too long or too short and not precisely where you mean to. It probably isn't that important unless you're doing detailed work like I am, but I'm using the wire for jewelry and accessories, and precise measurements are important. This works perfectly as long as I'm aware of exactly where the cut will happen!

The clamp handles definitely need to be longer. Unless you’re a weight lifter, these crimpers are not long enough to have the leverage to crimp effectively.

Works well for me. I was a little worried after reading the 1 star reviews, but it seems like a solid tool to me. I've only cut about twenty cuts on 3/32" cable, but they still are making clean cuts.
