Marvl Dry Eye Compress, Fillable Blepharitis Mask for Dry Eyes and Blepharitis

I received the mask last week and have to say it's the best mask I have used to date. The only reason I give it 4 stars is the packaging could be better to keep it wrinkle free when it is shipped. The mask is unique in design with the head strap and the zipper closure for easly filling and replacing the seeds (I use flax). I also washed it as soon as it arrived. It held its color and shape very well. I will report back on how it holds up after many uses. I have used several other masks but they did not hold up and leaked out the seeds. This mask also has excellent instructions for proper use and heating.

The mask was well made. I have a very persistent case of Blepharitis in both eyes that started after cataract surgery. I thought it was dry eye and my Eye Dr. didn't catch it for months..by then I had a stye and terrible irritation in both eyes. Using a warm washcloth only lasts for 4 minutes, tops. For me, I need moist heat, not dry heat. If you know of a product that provides moist heat that lasts at least 10 minutes I'd try it. The baby shampoo eye scrub makes my eyes worse so I went on Amazon and found many good eye wipes that don't require rinsing. They work much better than baby shampoo!

This is the first mask that ive found that retains heat for the full time and it is still warm fifteen minutes later. I used flax seed and heated it separate so I could heat it a bit more. I uses 4oz of flax seed and it fit well. It had the proper pressure on the eye glands..Cons plastic zipper so you need to be careful heating it in the microwave as it could melt or weaken the zipper. they give a handy heating chart for the different microwaves. No fault of the seller amazon prime shipped it out but then took four days to get the product to my home. Another Amazon prime fail. just be aware it could take a bit longer then amazon prime promises. It was worth waiting for as it works well. I plan on ordering one for my son.

Safer than prefilled masksThe great thing about this mask is that I can fill it with my own flax seeds. That gives me peace of mind, because I have no idea what chemicals the other pre-filled masks are stuffed with. In terms of performance, it works well - easy to use, comfortable and the heat lasts longer than my previous alternatives, (damp washcloth, or another mask I have that says it's for dry-eye heat treatment, but not to microwave). I apply the mask for about 5 minutes, and my eyes get moist naturally. From the clinical publications I read, it seems clear that heat improves blood circulation, which in turn relieves tear duct obstruction, This confirms the the advice I received from my ophthalmologist. I do it every day and have had great results - and the price was very good.

My doctor recommended this for my blephartis / dry eyes and it’s worked well. I like this specific mask a lot as it allows me the convenience of using whatever filler that's available to me in the kitchen - a quick microwave, and I'm all set to rest my tired eyes. I also really liked the detailed heating instructions, that cater to various types of microwaves. With masks I've used in the past, I've struggled with figuring out the optimal amount of heating time required. I usually sit down and meditate with this for fifteen minutes after dinner and it works wonders- I'm no longer running to the bathroom to splash cold water into my eyes in the middle of the workday or rubbing my eyes to give my eyes a rest from all the laptop work as much.

This dry compress is just what the doctor ordered. After my eye surgery I was referred to an Optometrist for intense Dry Eye and some Blepharitis, and she suggested a sock filled with the usual ingredients, but this is so much better because of the strap around the head, to keep it in place. Per instructions, I fill the pouch with uncooked rice and some dried lavender (that I happened to have), zip it closed, and heat in the microwave for 14 seconds and ta da!, I have a warm, soothing compress for about 15 minutes, lying down enjoying the quiet.

As a yoga/meditation teacher, I've tried many eye pillows. I was interested in this eye mask because it allows me to fill it with whatever I want. Most of the other product are filled with synthetic beads or flaxseeds. The filling I like most is a mixture of buckwheat groats, short grained rice and dried lavender. I basically did a 50/50 mix of the groats and rice and sprinkled about 1-2 T of lavender into that. Mask also has a strap and can be worn in a seated position (vs. eye pillows that really need to be used in supine.) I really enjoyed the light pressure I could apply to my eyes using the adjustable (an very comfortable) elastic strap.

This is a comfortable warm compress for your eyes to alleviate mild dryness or greasy/crusty eyelids (blepharitis), as recommended by Ophthalmologists.I just fill the pouch with some long grain rice I already had in the kitchen, microwave the whole thing for ~15 seconds to warm the contents, and wear it for 5-10 minutes while I listen to my morning news podcast. After the first time, you can reuse the same filler over and over. It's even better if you add some lavender or another scent to cover the smell of rice. Would be nice if the mask came with some filler, especially since it can be reused. Overall, this is comfortable and convenient.
