ESRAscend Keyboard Case, iPad Case with Keyboard Compatible with iPad Pro 12.9 (2022/2021/2020/2018), Magnetic Detachable, Fully Adjustable Portrait/Landscape Stand, Black

This is my third case from ESR and I have yet to be disappointed in their products. I have an Ipad Air 4 and so does my wife, and lets just say she decided this case would be hers and I had to buy another one for myself haha. Heres what we love about this case!-Materials on this case are soft to the touch and nice all around. The nice case material is easy to clean and looks appealing. The trackpad and keyboard area also has a nice material that feels great when using this case.-The build quality for the price seems great! The price is cheaper than most of the competition, but still provides the solid build quality and attention to providing an overall enjoyable product to the customers.-The Magnets used are STRONG. This provides good peace of mind that your ipad will not fall off and break, which is definitely something no one wants! It also comes with a detachable hard cover which is a nice plus to use by itself sometimes.-The different positions you can use it in are handy. Sometimes Im writing a report or just looking at the internet, but either way I choose to orient this, it is always nice and secure and functioning perfectly.- The backlit keyboard is a nice plus, especially when I was not NEEDING it when searching for a case. It has come in handy on those late night work sessions though.-The track pad is nice and a good size for the product. Sometimes you get a case that the trackpad is just so small its unusable, but this track pad I feel does the job and does it well for what it is.Overall this case is great (so good I had to buy two of them haha). I would definitely recommend this case as well as other cases from ESR. I have been using some form of their cases for over a year now and have loved every single one and have yet to encounter any issues.I would recommend checking out their other cases as well though, I have bought one for every occasion. I enjoy the ESR Trifold Smart case for light traveling, but also enjoy a mixture of this case and the ESR Rebound magnetic case as well.

My 13” iPad Air is a workhorse so I have several different cases for it, and this keyboard case is my latest addition. I had Apple’s Smart keyboard for iPad Pro 12.9” before but didn’t like it very much as it separated from the tablet quite easily due to weaker magnets. This ESR case although heavy has much stronger magnetic connection and can hold the iPad securely in either portrait or landscape orientation, which is a smart feature that I love. Not to mention it is just a fraction of the price compared to Apple.Both the keyboard and the trackpad are very responsive and have a nice touch. There is a row of top function keys – so useful and convenient. The big trackpad supports 3-finger gestures. The hinge in the back cover bends smoothly and is very strong. The sound from typing is not super soft but absolutely acceptable.On a side note, I also have the ESR Rebound Hybrid 360 case set. I can’t use the Rebound inner case with this keyboard outer cover due to different magnet alignments. I understand these are two different series, but it would be ideal (for me) if the inner cases of both series are the same or compatible with each other’s outer cover. In that case when I don’t need the keyboard I can swiftly take out the iPad with the inner case and attach it to the lighter Rebound 360 outer cover for carrying around. Having said that, I still enjoy this keyboard case and use it a lot!

The Ascend Keyboard Case has been a solid addition to our tech arsenal. It transforms our iPad into a quasi-laptop, thanks to the backlit, multi-functional keyboard and responsive trackpad. The fully adjustable stand, which allows for angles between 15° and 180°, is a godsend for finding the perfect viewing position, whether we're using it for editing documents or watching videos. Switching between portrait and landscape modes is seamless, making it versatile for various tasks. The magnetic back case does a great job of feeling light for travel when detached from the device, but when attached feels much more solid than first party solutions with a great fit and much better aesthetics than the competition. It’s a lightweight and well designed well priced solution for those who need to work from anywhere and we enjoy it much more than the first party solutions we've used in the past.

It's great and offers lots of versatility. Can use it in landscape and portrait mode, easily detach the device from the keyboard and still have it protected, flip the keyboard around while not using it and still have it propped up on whatever viewing angle you need. Keyboard is solid enough, have had a few connectivity issues but a factory reset of the device fixed the issue so far. I wish it was a little lighter, but not a huge deal. If the case portion was a little burlier/attached more securely to the device that'd be great, but not a deal breaker at this point.

Just received the keyboard case for my iPad Pro M2 11”. Set up was simple and straight forward. I was a bit concern about the key responses before trying the keyboard out in person, and I am happy about the feel of the keys. The case seems to be well built, similar to my other ESR case. (Hybrid?). The magnets are just strong enough to hold the ipad securely. With this keyboard case, the additional weight is noticeable, compared to my other ESR Hybrid case. As I am using a 11" iPad, it is a bit cramp in space and it will take some time to get used to the typing. So far, I am happy with the purchase. Time will tell if there is any problem (i.e. key sticking, BT pairing, battery life, etc) in the future. As of today, I am a happy owner of this keyboard case.UPDATE (Dec 11, 2023): after enjoying this keyboard for about 3 months, the keyboard has started to behave strangely and unpredictably. It can be unresponsive or lost BT connection. Sometimes the problem could be fixed by resetting it (turning off and turning on the power) or by disconnecting/connecting the BT. Not sure if it is incompatibility issue with my latest iPadOS, or just functional issue of the keyboard. Hope the situation is not going to get worst.UPDAT (April 18, 2024): the problem of the BT disconnection issue has been getting so bad and so frequently that the keyboard is seemed to be NOT usable at all. It is very unfortunate as I really enjoyed the keyboard before it was so reliable and predictable. Have sent an email to customer support on April 18.,2024 and hopefully they have a solution to make this keyboard useable again. Will update the product one way or the other.

I love the keyboard and trackpad itself. It’s backlit and very responsive, feels super good to type on. Trackpad is surprisingly good for a small form factor like this. Two downsides. One, the magnetic case that goes around your iPad is cheap plastic. Two, it’s extremely bulky and heavy when folded up.For the high price they’re charging for something like this, I feel like they could have given us a better iPad case, but it’s for sure a better value than the 400 dollar Magic Keyboard apple wants to sell you.
