Reasons for a 4 versus a 5: because these are silicone, there is a little more flex and on the first use, two of my pucks bowed out at the bottom (unknown as to why, perhaps it was more cold because they were on top of frozen Kitchenaid pucks) causing the pucks to be too large and I had to run them under water to melt them flat before shaving. I also received one mold that is usable but the silicone is not sealed at the edge of the rim, so I had to cut some away to smooth it out.Easy to use and clean, and I appreciate that they are not plastic.

These ice molds fit the ice shaving attachment for a kitchen aid mixer. They are silicone, so they probably won’t crack easy like the Kitchenaid molds. Still testing these out.

Good size for a cup of shaved ice.Could be a little stiffer, but not a real problem.

The lids don’t easily go on. Once there is liquid in the cups, it’s impossible to put the lid on without spilling. The cups aren’t rigid enough to not cave when the lid is pressed on. This makes them not usable for us.

UPDATED REVIEW: Cannot recommend. Soft sided silicon bottom distorts when water freezes and resulting puck bottom surface is domed and cannot be gripped bu the Kitchenaid ice shaver.Based on reviews of the original PE plastic cups which said they broke easily, I ordered a set of these. They work ok and definitely will not shatter or break but they are a bit flimsy/wobbly and difficult to get the lids on when full because the cup sides deform. It is not due to any fault of the product, its just the nature of the material.

it's silicone. Plastic is better. It is not easy to put the lid on it.
