I've dislocated both of my shoulders multiple times, and during a variety of activities (falls, swimming, throwing, and most recently in training martial arts). Although I've undergone physical therapy on serveral occasions, I still suffer from periodic 'partial' dislocations, where (thankfully) the shoulder will go back into place on its own. I am grateful that in my case, physical training and strengthening helps speed up recovery to the extent that I am quickly able to return to my active lifestyle. With that said, I decided to seek additional tools (in this case, purchasing a brace).I am very active, and rather than stop training (as I had following some of the first of my shoulder injuries), I found that I need to continue training, but much smarter. I took the advice of a therapist to wear a brace while undergoing certain activities (in my case, training Brazilian jiujitsu). Thus, I only wear the brace during those training sessions, and in my case, have not found it necessary to do so in other situations.How the shoulder brace has helped me:-The brace (I wear one on each shoulder) definitely provides more stability to my shoulders-The use of the product helps minimize the low levels of pain that I feel from time to time-The product is rather easy to wear, adjust, and clean-It seems to be of good quality material and constructionRelevant therepist advice given to me regarding the use of braces for dislocated joints:-The brace should be supplemental to proper strengthening and rehabilitation of the injured joint. In other words, wearing a brace will not do the work for you regarding the need to strengthen all of the stabalizing muscles, ligaments, and tendons that hold the shoulder in place. I still am trying to find the proper strength-training protocol to once-and-for-all minimize--ideally--prevent further injury.-Though the brace has provided me with physical support (and psychological confidence) of my shoulders, I still need to train carefully by way of not becoming complacent in my shoulder stability--or lack thereof. That is to say, one could still be injured despite wearing a brace.I compared many different braces, and found this one to be a great combination of reasonable price, strong customer ratings, appropriate materials (quick-drying for moderate / high levels of intensity in my training), and ease of use.For full disclosure, I purchased these braces on my own at full retail price. Have a torn rotator cuff and at age 81 don't wish to have surgery at this time. Saw this brace and read the comments and thought I'd give it a try. Took me a few minutes to figure out how and where to place the straps. It does have a very strong rubber odor. I saw where it's hand washable so I washed it with some of my favorite French soap. It definitely cut the smell immensely. Dried overnight so will wear it again today. I do believe my arm felt comfortable and secure in the brace so I feel it will help in healing.

From the very first time I tried using this Suptrust brace, I got some immediate pain relief, with some added strength in certain movements. It was comfortable, easy to put on and adjust and found I could wear it either on top of my shirt (if I was at home or not caring what I look like!) or it also fit well under a button down shirt, completely hidden. My only concern is that I've not (yet) been able to get the use out of it that I really need a night. Once I lay down and/or roll over on my bad shoulder, it reduces the tension and the ability to stabilize my shoulder in its socket, which is what I need to do to reduce/eliminate pain. However, it still helps some indirectly in bed as it keeps me sleeping more on my back than, on my side, thus helping to reduce pain at night. There may be a better way to adjust it when in bed, but I'm still working on it. I recommend this brace as it definitely does what it is supposed to do.

Excellent brace for my shoulder. This is a comfortable, yet effective, shoulder brace. I have worn it for dancing and walking, with no issues. It can be worn over or under clothing, with no bunching or scratching, and even though I am a small-framed woman, I think it would work for a medium frame as well. Not sure on large frame. The pink color is hard to see under clothes.

The brace worked excellent for me. Helped my shoulder stay stable during rock climbing, and during gym workouts. Totally took the pain away I was getting after my workouts. It also very much helped with icing after works outs - it firmly holds the ice directly on the spot needed (very well designed). The brace does not constrict any range of motion at all. It was a bit uncomfortable at first, but soon you forget you are wearing the brace.I would highly recommend the brace (and seller) if you are looking to help your shoulder heal and still enjoy your activities without having to sit on the couch for 6 months to allow it to fully heal.

This is the first time I have used such a brace and find it significantly helps reduce the lumbar pain from a herniated disk from 55 years ago. I especially find it helpful to keep my posture when I am on the computer or otherwise distracted. Yes, I can see why it can be addicting because it makes one feel secure and comfortable. I have not tried sleeping with it yet but it seems appealing. I have not worn it directly on my skin because others have said it is more comfortable over the shirt. I watched a U-Tube to learn how to put it on right. It is very easy to put on and seems of very good quality and should stand up to daily use for a long time. I can see that wearing it while working or sitting could reduce the stress on the back even before it gets injured as I have used it when walking. The seller, "Suptrust" also seems very helpful although I have no complaint. I am impressed and would recommend this product!Update: I did have a small issue with the loop side of the Velcro but the seller immediately replaced it. It is so good to have this kind of support from the seller, that is what really counts! Yes, I am really liking this brace.

J'ai d'abord essayé des attelles de ce genre dans un magasin de sport et dans une pharmacie et j'étais plutôt déçu, je souhaitais un produit qui maintienne mon épaule en cas de chute avant (je me la suis déboitée 6 fois!) en vtt ou ski. Je dois dire que celle-ci me sécurise beaucoup, elle a un maintien ferme en extension. Bon, je me doute qu'en cas de choc violent, elle ne pourra pas éviter la luxation, mais pourra m'y aider lors de chutes plus maitrisées. Le fait de sentir sa présence ferme me redonne une certaine intrépidité, et c'est déjà bien d'être en confiance, les chutes viennent souvent de la peur de chuter! je recommande clairement.
