Helped me set up work desk
This holder helped me Taylor a solution I was looking for but couldn’t find. See pic for illustration. I am not sure how long the arm will hold up since it doesn’t feel incredibly sturdy, I look forward to being pleasantly surprised.UPDATE: love this little arm, makes my job much more convenient. Love how responsive the arm is, helps me place my display exactly where I need it. I was concerned about durability, but the arm is holding up just fine.

Life Saver
I like to read in bed, and I do it on an 8" tablet. I have hit myself in the face with said tablet countless times, lain on it, dropped it off the side of the bed, and messed up my arms, neck, and hands trying to hold it. It was awkward and frustrating. All of that is solved by this thing. I clipped it to the headboard and now I can read all I want with no aches or pains. There are a couple of cons: you're not going to be able to do much more than read or watch movies with this, as it bounces when I turn the pages. I wouldn't want to game on it or anything. The most annoying thing, though, is that I can't get it set to quite the right angle. It works well enough, but the joint on it that's furthest out doesn't bend far enough the correct way. (It turns "out" rather than "in".) If I could get it to spin back toward me just about another 10-15 degrees, I wouldn't be reading at a slight downward angle. It's probably exacerbated by the fact that I read in portrait mode, and I have to have the thing quite close to my face so I don't have to wear my glasses. Also, I wish the base held better when you turn it. I need to turn it when I'm reading on my side, and it always tends to swing back a bit. It's like you can only turn the base about 90 degrees before it won't hold anymore, and just swings back the other way. I hope that makes sense without photos.Even with all that, it holds steady, and I'm clearly using it so it does work for my purposes. If you're just watching movies on it (or can see 2 feet from your face without glasses or contacts!), it'll be perfect for you. It hasn't slipped once and I've never been afraid that it would fall on my head. (Do remember to push it back out of the way as you're falling asleep, though, or you WILL bang your face on it if you get up in the middle of the night!)

Not great
This product arrived and it looked sturdy and well made but just being clamped to the table the metal for some reason split at the base. It was fine for a while but one day I noticed it looked lopsided so I unclamped it and checked and the metal at the base was split almost all the way through, just shy of breaking off completely. Could have been a defect in it I suppose, but I wouldn't reccomend it since it split. The rest of it was ok and still looks sturdy but not useful broken into 2 sections.

Sturdy, Adjustable and Best on the Market!
I’ve tried several 4+ star desk/furnature mounts and came back to this one becuase it simply is the best one out there. It holds the iPad Pro 12.9” perfectly if you’re using it as an extended monitor or for any **light interaction while on a desk or funature.**It can be altered to bring the tablet to the level of the table/desk, so as to put it in good position to interact or write/draw naturally on it.I’ve bought 3 of them over the past 5 years (for different places around my office/house) and none have malfunctioned, due to normal use.The tension is extremely reliable and can be altered based on the weight of the tablet. The ONLY thing I would like to see added is a rectangular or square stabilizer, rather than a round stabilizer at the bottom. Or at least a round stabilizer with a more sturdy attachment to the tightener (for glass desks that have a metal “border” or frame, that does not perfectly align with the underdside of the glass.). Possibly a 180/360 degree swing-base. CURRENTLY, with a bolt adjustment, it can swing a little, but not completely. I don't think it was made to have that sort of a base. I could be wrong on that though.

Mount doesn’t work well with iPhone 11
I am using this holder to take videos of art making processes for video lessons. What is good about it is it’s mobility. It is relatively easy to get it to hold the camera in different directions. The main problem is the mount. I have an iPhone11 with a standard otterbox case. The phone mount is too wide to hold my phone across its width but too narrow to comfortably fit it lengthwise. I have had to jam it into the mount and I frequently get my hand pinched. It seems to be made for a smaller phone, or there is no allowance for the case. Although it’s difficult to fit in, I have been using it lengthwise, but I then have to finesse the placement so the image of the mount does not obscure my video image. Also, at one point a piece of plastic holding the clip broke off, but it seems to still work without it. I was surprised that it was flimsy and a piece would break off. I am still using it though, but wish they had a mount that fit my phone. It was advertised as working with the iPhone 11.

A real surprise: very well engineered, excellent construction, very helpful.
I expected this to be one of those flimsy things like those inexpensive desk lamps you see everywhere. Barely usable, but still useful, compared to the alternatives.I got a big surprise just opening the box.The base is very well designed, providing several mounting points for the light fixture. It is rugged, much heavier than any base I’ve ever seen on a similar swing arm lamp or other device. The clamping mechanism is very sturdy. The clamp surfaces are well cushioned and shouldn’t mar any surfaces. The flexible arms feel like they are made of heavier gauge metal than common lamps of this type. They tighten well and there’s even a tiny Allen wrench for further tightening.I’m using it with an Acer Windows Tablet right now that ways more than a pound. The mount does not creep down because of the weight. Obviously, if you type on the screen, the device will bounce, but using your other hand to steady it is all it takes. I purchased a tiny Bluetooth keyboard with touchpad to avoid this problem and it works well.Overall, this is a highly useful mount and well worth the price.Jerry

Very adjustable
I needed something that was easy to move around but was also sturdy, and this fits the bill. Easy to loosen the joints enough to move around but also to tighten them when you need a strong hold. Very happy with it!

Funziona bene
