Since my car was a 2018 model I couldn't connect Apple car-play from my phone without using a wire. This is where this product solved my problem. I liked how car-play looked on my screen rather than the default, but I did not always want to plug my phone in and overcharge my battery. It made more sense for me to have it wireless so I wouldn't have to plug it in every single time. The connection is good and connects fast to your phone as soon as you get in your car. Setting the device up was easy because all you have to do is plug it in and connect via Bluetooth. I gave this item a good rating because it did its job correctly and had no problems with setting up and using it.

I took a chance on this product so I wouldn’t have to have wires running through my car.It was simple to install and worked great for about 6 months and now the volume control won’t work.I rebooted, removed, redownloaded everything, including my car stereo system and it still won’t give me volume control.I am back to the wired CarPlay and can say this product sucks.

I have had this for about 4 months. Its been great when it connects and works but it only does this about 60% of the time. The rest of the time it either doesn't connect or stays on the initial carplay screen. It never moves from there. Tech support has been abysmal, taking days to respond and telling me to do things I have already done. Disappointed but not too surprised.Edit: The company reached out and provided support and a new device. New device works so much better now than before.

Works great but there is a bit of a delay which can be expected when using a wireless device. My biggest set back is that sometimes my phone will connect/stay connected when the car if off which can be frustrating if you switch from car to AirPods. But overall great product.

Very easy to use. As soon as I plugged it in, my vehicle screen showed the bluetooth connection name. After I paired my phone to it, there were just a few prompts to click through and that was that.Connects quickly and automatically each time I turn on my vehicle, no user input necessary. Very nice not having to plug my phone in each time to use carplay - it just stays in my pocket.The included right angle usb adapter is vertical instead of horizontal, which won't work where my vehicle's usb port is. I just ordered a reasonably-priced horizontal usb adapter, so the dongle will fit flush against my console instead of jutting out a couple inches. Not necessary at all, but provides a cleaner look.

Stopped working after 9 months. Worked well for the first 9 months.

It was really easy to set up and worked just as you’d expect. Thought this was the perfect solution and I could move on. But after weeks to months, I’ve seen it get increasingly buggy. Sometimes it connects up initially just fine, but then toggles the connection on and off during the drive. My Chevy Bolt (2020) display will show the BT Box connecting over and over. It’ll stay connected for a minute or so, then disconnect again. Sometimes it doesn’t connect initially and I have to unplug it and plug it in again, or go to my phone and tell it to connect to the box in Bluetooth settings. Given all the trouble, it’s worse than just plugging in a usb cable to my phone, which I don’t like to do but the whole point of this product was to make for a seamless experience and it’s anything but.

This was a waste of money. Worked OK for 6 months and then one day I get in the car and it doesn't work. No power light, nothing. I read one of the reviews that said it did this to them, but didn't listen. Lesson learned. Beware.

No downloads or anything complicated. Just plug and it's done. Your phone might get hot, especially when using Waze, but it works well.
