I have had decoy owls before and they just wore out. Bought this one for my veggie deck garden and it looks wonderful. I like the detailing and movable head. So far Mr Owl has worked well and kept unwanted critters away. I think it was a good buy for the cost.

I received it today 7/8/2024. I will be setting it up on our deck tomorrow. This plastic Owl is visually pretty good. The head does spin around, if there is wind. Th description of "Motion Activated" make you think it has an electronic sensor that detects motion and makes the head move. It is the wind that make the head spin. I will see over the next few weeks it helps keep birds from landing on our deck railings.

I bought this to try and scare the birds away from my garden. It seems will put together, mounting it on a post was pretty easy. Only time will tell if it scare the birds away but I am very happy with my purchase.One note, there is a clear half circle fine included to attach to the owls head. This helps it spin so it's looking in the direction of the wind. Its easy to misplace but makes a big difference.

Looks real and has screws that you can use to keep down. Problem is that the head really doesn't move in the fastest of winds. Has kept the animals away if I kept moving the decoy every day.

We had a huge problem with birds nesting in the boards around our lean to porch. The birds would be fine, except they leave a huge mess on our furniture and other items. These owls have kept the birds away and saved us a mess to clean up. Good value for the money.

This owl decoy does NOT scare away anything, including birds, squirrels, moles, or chipmunks. We have all of those, and now they come to have little chats with the new owls like they are their new buddies. I bought 2 of the owls and placed them on opposite sides of the garden, hoping to keep the birds and tree rats from raiding the garden. It did not work; they are not afraid of the owls.The listing says it's "motion" activated in the title, but they are not. The only motion is when strong gusts of wind move the head. The listing also says, "Very realistic smooth head movement at any slight breeze," which is not true, at least for mine. The wind must be blowing +10 MPH before the heads move even slightly.They look really great and seem well made, but unfortunately, they do not work as described or advertised. Buy with caution, knowing all of the above.

Love my owl. Got rid of birds and squirrels.Now I get my tomatoes not the animals. Looks great and does it's job.
