Did get good photos, but got lots of bad photos too. Lines or lots of blanks in them. Why?

Product as advertised. Received the bird feeder in excellent packaging. Dont put peanuts in the bird feeder!

This is a small bird watching camera that works basically like a trail camera. You mount it somewhere and then come back later and take out the mini SD card to view on your computer. The bird feeder/camera is small and unobtrusive. The bird feeder function is nice and includes two options for liquids. One is a small trough for water the the other is a small well that could hold sugar water for hummingbirds. And, of course, it has a place for bird seed as well.This might be a good way to get some hummingbird photos and videos, but I wonder how clear the photos would be that close as when I tested it there was a good bit of motion blur on some of the photos.The build quality of this looks good. It is made of sturdy plastic. I guess I am just spoiled to the instant gratification of bird feeders with app connections so that you can view birds in real-time. There is nothing wrong with this one, but I think I'd spend the extra money and get one with real-time app access.And as small as this one is, we would be reloading it all the time.

So this is a cute little feeder. Nothing huge or cumbersome. Yes, you will need to change the feed more often, but that's probably better for the birds anyway to have fresh seed and less opportunity to get too much humidity sitting too long. The camera does not have live feed that streams to your device, instead it saves it to a memory card which you collect later to save the photos. Still lots of fun and especially at lower price than most other camera bird feeders. I'm happy with it overall.

Setup is relatively easy. They provide a few options for mounting and options for taking just pictures or video and both. I like that it's solar powered. I charged it inside before setting it up to give it a better chance of staying charged. I filled the tray with birdseed and the hummingbird feeder with nectar a few times, then waited a couple of weeks before checking on the included SD card. Image quality is sufficient. Unfortunately, we've only caught the wife and I walking around. It seems to take a while for the birds around here to get used to something new, so I'm hoping they find it and I can get some good pictures.
