I have made my own with thickit but it gets moldy if you try to keep it and I've never been able to quite get it thick enough to not bleed a little. I also bought a more expensive one that had the best rating and no tools and a smaller package. I can't even describe how much better this is than anything else. SO GOOD. Do not waste your money on anything else. My friend really wanted this design and I thought it would turn out terrible but look at those results. Flawless. Plus they show up so much faster with this than any other brand. If you are thinking of trying it, Do It.Update: as you can see this is the one I used on the flowers on the bottom. At first I thought this was he best ever but after using it a bit more I realized it doesn't turn the nice golden burnt color, it only turns black and looks like you just used a marker. It also fades and bleeds when you run it under water or wipe it with a wet cloth which the instructions say to do. I think I would still recommend this one if you had a very intricate design and you didn't want to use heat on it too long. If it's something you plan on hanging on the wall and not using as a cutting board or something that's not going to be touched often, it should be totally fine. It turns out looking pretty nice and it shows the color very quickly.

It worked great. Then I decided to throw a coat of stain on it and then the burn wiped right off. Not my project is down the drain. So much for my mother-in-laws Mother’s Day present.

I wish it burned a little darker but otherwise it’s great!

I haven’t had a chance to use this yet. But I’m not impressed on how I received the above item. The seal looks to be intacted, so I’m not sure what’s with the mess.

I ordered this wood-burning paste to use as an alternative method of working with pyrography crafts. The gel is applied to wood with a desired stencil. After the get dries, it takes about 10 minutes to remove the stencil. Using a heat gun on a low setting will burn only the areas that have the paste. The stencils used have to be taped down firmly so that the paste is only applied within the stencil borders. I make sure the paste does not run outside of the stencil borders. It is important to get clean lines and straight edges when you burn the image onto the wood. The past burns quickly with a low setting on my heat gun. I am still learning how to use my heat gun. I believe that I can adjust the shade color by adjusting the distance and time that the heat gun is pointed at stenciled areas. There is a lot of room for creativity using this paste. I plan on using the past in combination with my woodburning tool which will add more variety of texture and shading to my projects.
