As described, as yuck delivery and great price!

Really good quality sandals however the size 5 UK come up to large all my shoes and sandals are a UK size 5 so not Sur why they were more like a size six. Received a full refund but would rather of had the sandals.

I have ordered these in stone - they are a replacement for the gizeh sandals that I have just about worn out. (I have been wearing birkenstocks for several years now and they have never let me down).I use to order a size smaller but after reading up on how they should fit I now order my usual size 6 and these are fine. (I have a wide foot). These feel very comfortable already, although I expect I may have to wear them in for a few days to customize the sandals to my feet but I have no doubt that they will last me a few years (because that is how good birkenstocks are). As for the toe post, me and toe posts don't usually get on, but after breaking the gizeh sandals in, I am not even aware of the toe post, birkenstocks are the only toe post sandals I can wear. You may have to wear your sandals a few days around the house before they become best friends with your feet.

Just received these and am disappointed that the uppers are man-made. To be fair to Amazon, this is clearly stated in the table of materials at the bottom of the page, but, as an owner of a pair of Birkenstock Boston, I assumed that these would also use leather. I'm now weighing up whether or not to return them. It looks like the Riyadh would be the closest style that uses leather.EDIT, 21 May 2013You live and learn. I now know that Birko-Flor is the Birkenstock brand name for vinyl/faux leather. I contacted Amazon and they would have been happy for me to return the sandals and would even have covered postage, which I think is excellent service. However, I've decided to keep the sandals in any case, as the upper part is of minimal importance to me really, especially in this style, where there's hardly anything of it.

I use these nearly every day so they get so much use that they do need replacing every few years but they are fabulous shoes, and would be a desert island essential for me

I bought my first pair a few years ago and was introduced to them by a colleague who swore by them. I didn't really get what all the fuss was about and always considered them to be a bit overpriced for what is essentially a summer shoe. How wrong I was!After buying my first pair and having worn them to death, I promised myself I would get a smarter pair. I've just had delivery of the Gizeh in Black Patent and they are everything I wanted. They're smart and can be dressed up or down and are SO comfy. I'm currently 31 weeks pregnant and have had to let the strap out to accommodate my swollen feet and they are STILL comfy!I would imagine for those people who don't like 'thong' or 'toe post' designs, these wouldn't be their thing, but I absolutely love them.Like most shoes you do have to be careful of sizing, so I would suggest trying some on in a shop before buying online. I'm usually a UK size 8, and I wear a Birkenstock EU size 40 as they are quite wide.Don't bother with cheap immitations- Birkenstocks are wonderful and will last for years if you look after them.

The item did fit, but did bot last long, it came apart after a few weeks. I have returned it and have been waiting for a long time to get a replacement or refund. Now I have been chasing again, they checked it quickly and refunded my order.

The Birkenstocks i brought was very comfortable, nice colour(ice nubuk) good price, cant wait to buy another pair.quick delivery too. I also read that you can have them re soled I think I would just prefer to buy a new pair by the time you pay to send them away and pay to have them sorted, you could probably buy a new pair for same money.The only thing I was a bit confused about the sizes wide or narrow? I was a little worried as iv brought some shoes before they said they were size 4 but ended up on being a size 6 and half due to the sizes abroad they don't always state sizes correctly, luckily not in this case they fit me like a glove, im very happy and would recommend.
