Just as needed
Definitely follow the recommendations for what length ramp you need for a certain height. I have a 3 foot ramp for a 4 inch step, and a 4 foot ramp for a higher step (look for a chart to tell you what to get). When I wheel a person up this ramp, it has a total of nearly 500 lbs on it and does fine, bends or sags just slightly as I believe it’s supposed to. Also keep in mind, that you might have to be a bit strong to puuuuuush someone up that slope, e.g. my wife can’t do it. And even a tiny bump where the door frame is (beyond where this ramp sits) represents a challenge when pushing a wheelchair — we use one person to keep the wheelchair from rolling backwards and the other person to bend down and lift the feet of the wheelchair over the bump. (That’s not a bump on this ramp at all — I’m just giving you something extra to consider.) I find no problem setting up and taking down the 3 foot and 4foot ramps, they’re not too heavy, just a bit awkward because of their size. Setting them up, just be sure the lip of the ramp sits properly on the ledge/edge of the step and once placed squarely it will stay there without any screwing or pinning in place. For permanent use, it comes with screws but I can’t comment further on how this holds up permanently. Does not look like it will rust, as it’s aluminum.

Very convenient and great quality
This ramp is awesome! My daughter can go from inside to outside in her wheelchair as needed and we can easily fold it in half for people to step down without the ramp. We’ve taken it on vacation to VRBOs so she can wheel in and out of rentals or to our family members’ homes for easy access. The quality is very good. Definitely recommend!

Very sturdy.
This was a wonderful rant for me to purchase. It was exactly the right size that I needed to span from my doorway stoop down to my sidewalk. Not only was it very sturdy but it seemed to hold a lot of weight. Although I am not a heavy person I had a heavy person try it by jumping on it and it worked wonderful. Unbelievably functional for me as I am in a wheelchair.

Not as expected, flexes badly, several potential pinch points.
I wiosh I was able to see this in person before buying this as I would have saved myself some frustration. The listing says it (the 8 foot model) is good for up to 606 pounds, but with a 225 pound load, the ramp flexed very badly and felt incredibly unstable. Setup was not as simple as shown in the video and was very ungainly with multiple opportunities for injury due to several potential pinch points. The deck material was nice, and the non-slip surface was a plus, but the instability and heavy flexing made me return this within an hour of delivery. It's too bad, as I liked the concept...

Good solution to overcoming steps for a wheelchair.
Needed to get a wheelchair up 4 to 6 inch steps at the entrance to our house. They work well. Do not seem to need to be permanently attached. In fact, when an ice/snow storm came, I was glad to be able to pick them up so they didn't get covered. Recommended.

Its heavy.
It was heavy well made BUT it was assembled uneven. There was a wider gap on one end in the center where the sides fold out than the other. The center hindges were not even.It did not work for what I was needing as it was to help my older brother who has a steel rod in place of his femur in one leg and has also had a stroke to get in and out of my truck. It was to much of a slant for him to go up it and the seam center was off enough it was very hard for him to turn on it to sit on the trucks seat. It was also hard to set up on my truck running board and could be done with one person but was hard to do.I iniated my refund on Dec 27, it was recieved Back to the reciever on Jan 2 for a refund after trying it only one time, and as of Now the 23 of January still have not recieved my refund for it.I will never do business with this company again in the future as It seems like they really take their time in issuing a refund back to customers.I selected to have it refunded into my Amazon Account as I thought I would get it faster that way but seems like this Company doesnt even give refunds back to Amazon.Any future needs will be with a different company as I do business with companies who actually care about their customers.
