Will not keep you safe in the shower.
It's pretty, but that's about the best I can say for it. I needed a shower mat because my shower floor feels slippery. This mat felt "tacky" at first, but as soon as I started to shampoo my hair I noticed that the mat started to feel just as slippery as the plain shower floor. Shampoo "foam" was building up around and on the mat, making it feel slick. I have long hair and use conditioner, and that made it even worse. Aside from that, why in the world did they think it would be a good idea to cover the drain hole area? Following somebody else's review, I cut a hole in the center to allow water to drain, but water, shampoo, and conditioner still built up not just in the center area but all around the mat. I won't be using it again. Back to the search for something better.

No center drain hole
As you can see, the center drain hole is not cut out. I was hoping that it was raised enough to allow water to pass underneath. No luck. I had to cut the center out to make it functional. It is attractive and functional once the center is cut.

This is the perfect size but unfafortantly you canot stand on it it is so slipperyespecially when rinsing soap my wife almost took a fall getting up from the bath chair her feet slide right out under her I went in and barely was able to stand on it thanks for the two bars in the bath VERY VERY DANGEROUS Sending it back

Hard and Slippery
This mat is very hard (like rocks) to the feet. Additionally, it is very slippery. I will be searching for another mat.

Slippery
Just as slippery, or more so, than the actual shower floor. Also suction cups on the bottom actually hurt my feet as I feel them through the mat. This is pretty and my husband says its fine for him.

Friction and cleanliness: nothing to complain about
When my wife broke her ankle slipping in the shower I covered the floor with a series of friction pads. These work well. However they made it very difficult to clean the shower. This provides the safety that I desire and the ease of cleanliness that she does.
