You’ll never make Dutch Oven bread again after using the Fourneau Bread Oven!
This oven is amazing. I am a seasoned baker and there is definitely a learning curve. Not difficult, but it takes a little practice to get it down to a science. The bread has such a unique taste, the crust is so crisp and delicious. So worth the purchase price. It completely ruins you for any other type of bread.

Not as Advertised
This oven did not hold up to my expectations at all. Although they offered a 30 day money back guarantee, they only refunded half of the money. I used it one time, and my bread came out awful. I would still rather use a dutch oven.

Makes great bread, but limits loaf size
It works well; bread comes out nice and crispy on the outside, but fluffy inside. The only real downside to this is the size; you are limited to making some pretty small loaves. Overall thought, it was a pretty good purchase.

Good, but still needs to fix design issues
I have had my Fourneau Grande since October 21. I had very high hopes that this would finally be the "one!" It has not lived up to expectations and still needs some design tweaks to be the best on the market. I bake 1 to 2 times each week for the last 25 years or more, use natural levain, grind and sift my own wheat and also use the Challenger cloche, lodge, Le Crueset and Staub. They all make quality loaves and all have their own drawbacks. The round pans are easy to burn yourself on, but the new Forneau Levee may fix that. The Fourneau Grande produces a nice loaf, but the Challenger still wins in overall rise. The main issues for the Grande are the front handle are VERY VERY hard to use with oven mitts or gloves and the towel they use in the video would burn your hand after a 45 minute heat at 500. I have dropped the front cover too many times to count. The water trough is a great idea, but if you put water in after the bread you inevitably get water on the bread tray and if before its still messy and makes getting the door on difficult. Last, the door isn't a tight fit and needs some redesign to ensure no steam can escape. The design ideas behind this oven tried to solve issues with current options available, but still not there. My fixes? Hinge the front door and add a lip around it to seal the door and think of a way to get bakery quality steam in after the door is shut. Maybe an ice tray. It's close, but for now the challenger is the clear winner.

Inconsistent Manufacturing, Poor Quality
No longer made in the USA, product is very expensive and does not live up to expectations. If you are on the fence, buy the Challenger instead.

Great Tool for Bread Makers
I have been using a Fourneau Grande for several months and I am greatly pleased with the results. The device itself is simple and after years of experimentation firth making bread in my over this produces remarkable loaves with very little effort. If you are a lover of fresh crusty bread this is something you should try.
