Hot for the Devil
I think M Robinson might just have a little of the devil in her too. Omg this was like your favourite mafia/gangster film or season of the Soprano rolled into one tantalisingly good book. M,you've done it again. This is spin off series from the Good Ol' Boys and we meet El Diablo in Crave Me, but I never expected him to be that much of a devil. To understand Alejandro you need to learn about his past to understand his future. This book is broken up into 4 parts, each sucking you into life of El Diablo and the life he was born into, he learns early on being weak wasn't an option nor was showing your feelings. Alejandro's past is fraught with making the right choices after being thrust into a life he didn't choose. He was also taught to love wisely and pick a woman who could love him under any circumstances and family is everything,or are they?True to M Robinson's MO,this book is filled with all the angst, passion and love you'd expect, but this one had twists and my god where they good ones!We know from his past Alejandro loves his family, especially the females, and will protect them at any twisted underhand lengths, well he's isn't called El Diablo for nothing. It isn't until he meets Lexi, who Alejandro tries to push away to protect him from himself, but "Every Devil needs an Angel" and she's his, he see's something in her that he hasn't seen or felt before. What I love about Lexi,no matter how evil he tries to be with her and treats her, she doesn't put up with it and is a strong heroine, one that you can respect. While Alejandro "El Diablo" is all evil, powerful and sexy with it, but it doesn't come easy, he never lets his feeling's show until he really needs too. He maybe the Boss and that comes with great responsibility and power, but can Lexi bring out his love? Or is he just to complicated and complex, even for Lexi. That ending,I just didn't see it coming with all the twists that tear you up with angst and fill you with really omg! There were also a few one liners I totally loved. Also with a sneak peak into book two this standalone is very highly recommended. I received an Arc in return for my honest opinion.

An emotional rollercoaster
I was blown away by the raw emotions I felt reading this and the amount of times I had tears in my eyes and on the edge of my seat unable to put the book down, I loved alejandro and lexi so much the emotions they felt seemed so real and theirs is a story that I will never forget. The author wrote this story brilliantly she let us find out what the characters were like from the beginning and before they met each other so we understand how they came to be and act the way they do so we already love the characters when they meet each other and forgive them when we don't like the things they do.I downloaded this by mistake but its a mistake im so pleased I made as there are not many books that once you've read them leave you thinking about them and knowing you will never ever forget it, this is a roller coaster emotional read from start to finish and is the first book I've read by this author and it definitely won't be the last.

Alejandro & Lexi
Whoa! My head is reeling from all the secrets & revelations that unfolded in Alejandro & Lexi's story!Like the Good Ol' Boys books this story was packed full of highs & lows & just when you think this is it, they're finally going to make it wham the story goes off in a direction I didn't expect.I really enjoyed the beginning, meeting Alejandro as a teenager & understanding why he became the cold & callous man we met in Crave Me. Also enjoyed having his point of view on his relationship with Daisy/Briggs & why he raised her in the way that he did.Unlike the female characters from the Good Ol' Boys I didn't really connect with Daisy & I think that probably contributed to why I found the middle section of this book to be less captivating BUT the ending, well that, had me completely gripped once again.

I was in love with the anti hero from the very first page....
Whilst this book is a stand alone it did help that I had read the other books in The Good Ol' Boys series. Having been introduced to Martinez in Crave Me; I was desperate to learn more about the man behind the expensive suits, the one they called El Diablo.Crave Me finished on a cliff hanger... who was holding the gun that shot Martinez. We have to wait the whole book to find out.Like all the other books in this series, I loved it from the very first page. This book goes back in time to when Alejandro Martinez was a teenager being groomed to take over from his dad; a crime boss and drug lord. It tells of the ruthless man he turned in to, the horrors he was subjected to on his route to be the next Big Man. He never really stood a chance to have a normal life. He never had the option of walking away.Lexi has also had sad and traumatic life her emotionally absent mother and her step father who walked out on her at a young age leaves Lexi to be put into foster care. Her dream is to be a top ballet dancer and after winning a prestigious place at a top ballet school bumps into Martinez whilst trying to find work as a stripper to support herself. They are instantly attracted to each other but Martinez continues to push her away not wanting to bring her in to his world of crime for her own safety. For the most part of this book we get to see the cold hearted, ruthless man with the soulless black eyes. He was the anti hero I found myself falling in love with. This book had it's usual angst that we've come to expect from M Robinson. Once again taking us on a roller coaster road of emotions building us up and breaking us down. For the most part this book was smouldering, there was definitely a big secret to be revealed but it took most of the book to get there. There were times when the plot didn't really progress, however, once the secrets started to be revealed then there were twists and turns galore as one secret after another was revealed, most of them I never saw coming. I thought I had it figured out early on but nothing could prepare me for the truth. I was left open mouthed. Utterly brilliant and very well thought out.I absolutely loved this book and I am looking forward to reading Creed when it is released later on this year having first had a small introduction to him at a christening. This really is a series that will stay with me.
