Tool is used to run engine oil pump without running the engine.
High quality materials and high quality machining and finish.Tool is used to drive the engine oil pump before starting a new built engine or an engine that has been in storage. The distributor is removed and the tool installed in place to couple up to the oil pump drive shaft located below the distributor. Use a drill motor to drive the pump. Several minutes of pumping will circulate oil to all parts of the engine. Be sure to mark the distributor position, the rotor position and the rotor position as the distributor is lifted out as the distributor driveshaft turns as the distributor gear is clearing the camshaft gear. In this way you can reinstall the distributor. Mark the new tool so you can stop the pump driveshaft in the same position it was in when the distributor was lifted out. Do not rotate the engine with the distributor removed or you will have to start all over to time the ignition.

Worked good.... sealed off distributor passage , so oil could prime up driver side of lifters and rockers.

Almost catastrophic….
I liked the way it was designed and felt but the roll pin came out of the sleeve that captures the pump shaft and supports the lower guide leaving the guide in the hole and the sleeve balanced on top of the pump shaft.Fortunately, I was able to fish out the aluminum lower guide with a pick and needle nose vice grip and I used a telescoping magnet to fish out the sleeve so I didn’t have to pull the oil pan.The roll pin only goes halfway through the sleeve so I drilled it through and riveted the sleeve to the shaft with a 1/8 nail turned rivet… Then it worked great

China garbage
Typical out of spec Chinese garbage. Had to pull it apart to grind down the engagement lug in order for it to fit in oil pump shaft.

Perfect tool
This is a well made tool and worth the money if you work on motors and want to protect internal parts from a dry start. Very low price to prevent damaged parts. Works well with a cordless drill.

Not specked out correctly. Won’t turn chevy pump
Doesn’t work on Small block Chevy.
