Light hearted read
'My Slice of Life' is a light hearted read, more like a sneak peek into the life of a teenager. Teenage is literally a dramatic phase of one's life. So many first - time experiences, emotional roller-coaster journeys, and often it becomes a little too much to handle. It feels so refreshing to read this book, written from the perspective of a teenage writer. Every chapter portrays a new experience, a new journey. The writing style reflects a good sense of humour. For me, it felt like revisiting my teenage years. The book feels more like a companion who understands you. Most part of it felt so relatable.Overall it's really a fresh and enjoyable read. Do try it out!

This was a gift to my mom and she loved it. We both read it together and it is an amazing read. It is not like you haven’t heard what author wants to say before, but the way she sits it hits you at all the right places. She’s just serves all the harsh truths with such subtlety that you can do nothing but actually think about it. Each chapter is a gem. Some will shine brighter for you than othersIt’s not the motivation that she gives in the book but retrospection that takes places once you have finished reading. And that’s the sign of a good book. This was a lovely read!I believe that the best part of this book is that the author wrote it because she truly wants to help other women. The book made me realise that although the path I'm on is not the one I originally wanted, I can still be happy. I have been existing for a long time and now I'm starting to live again. I have been through a lot in life but it doesn't mean I should just give up. I still have hopes and dreams, I just need to adjust them a little.I love the down to earth, real talk tone of the book. I relate to so much of what she said and I'll probably be reading the rest of her work too! Inspirational 💕

So honest
This book drew a clear and unique perspective. It's an honest account of a teenager. The book gave me more like a diary kind of vibe, written to oneself than to the world. It was astonishing for me to find such depth in the writing of a 14 year-old. It's truly a slice of her life. I like how she questioned the norms, figuring out everything she can while exploring her teenage years. The writing is humorous, sometimes satirical, sometimes it's cheeky and other times deep in philosophical exploration. It's exactly something I was expecting, full of surprises. This will definitely light up your mood, just accept it with an open heart.
