Replacement Remote Control for Google Chromecast with Google TV (4K)-Streaming Stick Entertainment with Voice Search-Snow (Remote Control Only)

I made the mistake of accidentally washing my original Google TV remote in a load of laundry. Yay me! As with most people (maybe?), I looked to Amazon for a replacement. I was fearful with using what I assume to be a third party remote for a Google product (on Amazon nonetheless)... but I pulled the trigger and was pleasantly surprised. I didn't give it a full 5 stars, as the "selection wheel" seems a very minimally loose and it doesn't seem to be able to work with my Vizio 5.1 Soundbar setup via HDMI ARC on my Toshiba Smart FireTV. Could be user error, but I'm very tech literate and it had no problems with the previous remote. Just something to note for those with a similar set up. Otherwise, everything works as expected with minimal set-up and seems to mirror in quality to the official Google TV remote.

The remote was easy to set up, no issues there. However the remote frequently will not operate Chromecast device.Additionally the volume controls need to be adjusted frequently. It will work with an LG TV however if you use other devices such as a Bluetooth speaker or sound bar it needs to be constantly adjusted between Chromecast and the device connected. Unlike the original remote that seamlessly switches and controls different devices with volume this device cannot do this. This was primary reason to replace the original remote, the volume up button quit working.Also the power button doesn't turn of TV if using volume for Chromecast as well.As for this device, it doesn't work as a original replacement. Not reliable for connection to Chromecast and hassle of adjusting remote settings.Too much hassle for a few dollars less than an original replacement from manufacturer.
