Yvonne Kason provides an in-depth and (literally) soul-searching account of the multiple 'spiritually transformative experiences' she has undergone throughout her life, and the lessons these have taught her about the spiritual reality that is the basis of our existence. Having previously read multiple accounts of near-death experiences and related spiritual experiences, I found Dr Kason's testimony a fascinating example of such experiences associated with both her Christian background and her highly developed practice of meditation.

I struggled to finish it as I have read many books of its kind that aremuch more interesting.

I've recently become aware of Spiritual Awakenings International, an organization that raises awareness of spiritually transformative experiences, including Near-Death Experiences. I was interested to know more about the president, Dr. Yvonne Kason, and so I purchased her recently released memoir. Her life journey is fascinating, to say the least. Five NDEs and a myriad of mystical moments have given Dr. Kason access to a level of spirituality few have known. Of course, it has come with a great price, including thirteen years of disability after a traumatic brain injury, which was miraculously healed.Having a long career as a working physician gives Dr. Kason credibility to her story that might seem doubtful in others. She has devoted much of her time and energy to counseling people grappling with Near-Death Experiences or other mystical moments that might have jarred their daily lives.Soul Lessons from the Light not only delivers the amazing life story of one woman, it also offers information and insights for people seeking answers to their own spiritually transformative experiences.

I love every part of what I have read and the experiences Dr Kason went through from she was 5 years old.

Dr Yvonne Kason has written an extremely detailed description of her five Spiritually Transformative Experiences. She dutifully let readers in on her deeply personal experiences and the after effects that followed. I almost felt I was with her on her journey. This is an excellent read from an experienced medical professional and author. You will benefit from reading this book.

I have been fascinated by the whole subject of Near Death Experiences (NDE's) and Out of Body Experiences (OBE's) since having one of my own back in 2007 while curing a painful herneated lumbar disc with Amazonian plant medicines under the auspices of Shipibo curanderos in a remote jungle area of Peru. Spoiler alert: I flew instantly to the center of the universe, encountered a field of totally overwhelming love followed by spending one-on-one time with the Etheric Christ and then the Archangel Michael. Needless to say, my life has never been the same since.I just recently heard Dr Kason interviewed by Alex Tsakiris on skeptiko.com podcast 592 and immediately purchased her latest book. It is an incredible autobiographical account of a subject that is gaining ever more public acceptance and her standing as a seasoned and level-headed former family physician gives a whole lot more weight to the narrative than those put out by regular joes such as myself.Putting ineffable experiences into words is by definition impossible but I am very impressed by Yvonne Kason's ability to convey that which can never be adequately expressed.Highly recommended!

I found her experiences very interesting & glad she had the courage to share so openly, despite criticism & some significant challenges. However she repeated much of what she had to say multiple times in different chapters & sometimes in the same sentence. She could have used a good editor!
