Don’t think too hard about it
Documentation is scarce. There really isn’t any because you just plug the thing in…that and add the canbus network to your pi. Lsusb should show it instantly and you’ll lose one port on the pi as it’s using that data path. Follow the arksine/canboot flash instructions for the canbus network. Then set up your terminal node, ebb36/42 etc…literally.. ignore the usbc and just stick it in the holes.

Poorly soldiered.
Be very very careful with this module. They didn't think the board construction through all that well, and the sets of 4 pin headers on the bottom of the board are incredibly fragile. The pins themselves don't take soldier well (in my experience you have to essentially dip them in rosin to make the soldier adhere at all), there is almost no soldier at all holding them on, and on the off chance you do what I did, and try to tweak a pin a little bit to alleviate the loose socket fit, it'll tear them all loose from the soldier pads. If you're lucky. If not, you'll get what I had, and have the trace pads rip off the board, rendering it useless. I'd normally just fix this, but there's exactly zero documentation available for this unit, so I can't even trace the power lead to make a repair.Might work, might not. Couldn't get software working, and then the pins ripped off. All in all a miserable experience.
