Fun!
Like the best parts of "Gloomhaven" meet the best parts of "Vagrant song". Liked it.

Big time surprise hit.
A smaller version of gloomhaven with a compelling story. Deck based combat and movement and use of action dice to determine enemy actions make it very varied and tactical. Diverse player characters ensure each player feels valued in their contributions. Tongue in cheek humor through out the narrative ensures a laugh or two while playing.

Fun but involving
This is a fun game I tried playing with kids (8, 10, 12). It was very involving and lost their attention, but it is still a great game.

An AMAZING game!
I don’t often post about games, but this time I felt I needed to. We just finished playing Tales from the Red Dragon Inn and it is amazing. The rule book is impeccable, the component quality excellent, the mission widely varied, and the storyline extremely enjoyable. Seldom do we play a game that surprises us, makes us laugh, and has us on the edge of our seats; this game does that in spades. The rules set is fairly simple yet extremely fluid. The characters have widely different player powers. The designers make great use of the available standees. I have played A LOT of dungeon crawls/adventure games in my day and this one may be my all-time favorite. It packs a huge amount of game play into its not-unreasonable price point. Looking forward to playing it through again with different characters. Now, when do we get an expansion?

Used Product
This is a very cool game, has nice components and a fun storyline. Unfortunately, the copy I received was clearly used. The first chapter had been punched, some of the cards and maps were bent and worn, and some of the standees were a little torn up. I think it's fine to buy and sell a used game, but that should be clearly marked on the store page. With a game like this, that has a LOT of components, it's pretty hard to tell if something is missing. I checked as best I could against the manual, and it *looks* like everything is in there... It's a pretty expensive game, to it's not a great feeling to open it up and see that it is already a little torn up.
