Great read for a young generation.
This book was a quick, easy read. Since it was self-published by Srinivas, he made the book super easy to purchase at a price tag of $2.99. I can't believe the value I got from this book for only $2.99. It reminds me of the old saying, "Try not to become a person of success, but a person of value" (Paraphrased...), and that's what Srini did in this book; he provided great value at a low price with very little expectation on success (As any self-publisher can attest, there are no guarantees). After reading of the stories in this book and the things Srini has accomplished in his short life, plus the genuine and honest tone contained in its pages, I really loved it and it was encouraging. It was encouraging not only for the stories, honesty and thoughtfulness, but in a sea of people in this world who are disingenuous, and in a time when it's so much easier to lie to ourselves and others than to face the truth, the book was refreshing, at a minimum. People are starving for TRUTH! This book overflows with bold honesty concerning the impact we can have on the universe by being open, truthful and even controversial about who we are, what we say, and what we do with our lives.Read it, I highly recommend it.

This is the how-to for a new American Renaissance!
It's short, it's to the point, it's unmistakable! This book is all about changing the way you think, it's about breaking all the pre-conceived notions you had about your life so you can discover the person you would have been (and still CAN be) without them. It's a brand new world out there, and individuals are having a hard time making their way because they're listening to the people from the old world who are trying desperately to hold on to their power and control over YOU!This new world is about empowering the individual to do what makes them happy and unique, but the old world gatekeepers are using fear and ridicule to keep you under their thumb. Break free with this book!By the first chapter I was laughing out loud and highlighting something on every page, in two hours I finished it, went home, and told my wife, "I need a canvas and paint!" I've never painted before, but that doesn't matter anymore! This is a tremendously entertaining book (even when it's calling you out on your nonsense!) and worth 10 times the price. You really don't have anything to lose for $3 and a couple hours of your time. (not counting time spent laughing or re-reading)Absolutely a must read for anyone who hasn't built a giant roast chicken car!NOTE: There is some language, but nothing excessive :)

A Call to Action, but what action?
It's a good thing to give your all to your art, whatever that art may be, and Mr. Rao's book does encourage that impulse. This kind of book is interesting, because it's not meant as a "here's how you do your art" instructional book, but as a "go figure out how to do your art" inspirational piece.Which I suppose is sort of the point. However, anyone reading this needs to understand a few things.1. You define what your art is. Mr. Rao talks from the perspective of blogging and podcasting (and surfing), but he doesn't point out that art can be- Raising a family. (Which good parents do.)- Sales.(I consider the Product Launch Formula to be its creator's art).- Business. There are people out there who are good at it, love it, find fulfillment in it, and leave their heart on their field of endeavor just as much as any author, composer, or internet guru.2. The book specifically does not address issues of responsibility. If you're a single guy with no kids, it's dramatically easier for you to drop everything and pursue your art trying to make a dent in the universe than it is for someone who is married and has responsibilities to spouse and children. Remember, it's the art of being unmistakable, not irresponsible.3. Even the art that he's describing will look suspiciously like work. Good work, fulfilling work, but it's still work. And there will be times when following your muse is not going to be candied apples and unicorn farts. The book doesn't claim that this will be all apples/farts, but it's the kind of thing a reader may miss. So, use the book for the inspiration it provides, but temper that inspiration with the understanding that art can be anything you devote your time and attention to, that responsibilities to family and others should not be abandoned, and that the pursuit of any art requires a certain amount of disciplined work. You Will Suck At Your Art When You First Start. Do it anyway.

A Fast Interesting Read
Although it is a bit a collection of metaphors, there is certainly some profound truths hidden in this book. After 30 years of chasing the dollar, and taking a long hard roller coaster ride, I've learned many things. One of them is that money should be a result, not the main goal.

So good I read it twice
It's one of those books that smacks you in the face and screams at you to WAKE UP! Short enough to read in a single sitting yet sufficiently amazing to stay with you a lifetime. "Are you willing to make a commitment to a craft. There is no right or wrong answer. Just the answer that makes your heart sing and lights your eyes on fire." - my favourite quote from the book. Thanks to Sue Allen (Manchester) for the recommendation!

make your dent in the universe
Short and to the point. More a collection of well written shorts forming a collective that does inspire one to stand out.Less the "feel the fear and do it anyway" more a "Just be honest and do what you love"
